This is how they play the game. Ever since Todd Blanche announced the fund for victims of government weaponization, the media has gone full court press trying to portray it as a scheme to reward people who genuinely did bad things, like Michael Cohen or some of the J6 people. That has been the entirety of their framing. In reality, the fund is aimed at genuine victims, innocent people who were spied on, smeared, financially ruined, and had their lives destroyed for no legitimate reason. And the most dishonest part is that the people being highlighted by the fake news are highly unlikely to even qualify for a place in the queue, let alone for compensation.
