I have also learned that with AI its easy to stay in the loop of building the app ro infinity instead of building what is essential and start spreading the app

When building apps I realized that if you plan on making money with the app you need to learn which features need to be gated and what are the free limits of each app.

@YairDev @alexvinidiktov @Baconbrix I understand brother, I been a iOS dev for 6 months professionally when I was in Glovo, for me it was more painful experience then expo and that’s when I understood the difference expo makes as tool. I was surprised how Xcode is so inferior to VsCode

@capsnoluck @alexvinidiktov @Baconbrix I could probably keep going with Expo but I'm developing multiple simple apps Codex built an app faster in Swift than I could fix the issues I was having with expo 🤷‍♂️

best decision I've done building mobile apps is to use Swift instead of Expo can't even begin to describe how better the experience is

I been on and off expo since 2020 and I couldn’t say that I am an experienced expo engineer until only last year that I decided to not let these issues get in the way and eventually give up, I released 4 expo apps by learning how to overcome the problems

@YairDev @Baconbrix I don’t know how experienced you are with expo, but these are usually issues that are found when starting expo development I once had the same issues and trust me expo really got improved over the years. It takes patience.

Appreciate the comment I just had so many different bugs, crashes, that were hard to reproduce, only happened locally and not in testflight, or opposite, I felt like I was fighting with it all the time Overall it just felt very unreliable compared to Swift, and the build times where really long too compared to it For example last app I built I had this weird issue where showing the paywall had this weird flashing and crashes and I tried to solve it for like a day with no success And weird thing is sometimes it happened, sometimes didn't, sometimes removing ios folders and reinstalling helped, but the whole process just felt so brittle I couldn't deal with it anymore 🤷‍♂️ And this happened to me multiple times throughout the years in different occasions
