@BenjaminHouy it was a joint decision between me (as CTO) and my partner (CEO) - opposite to him: I was still working full time as an IT consultant and the workload had a toll that crept into my private life and as my partner also wanted to pursue new ventures it was just the right decision.

Moving to Germany was the single biggest mistake I ever made in 12 years of running a business. I genuinely have no idea how this country even runs. My advice for people thinking of running a business from Germany? Run and never look back.

@BenjaminHouy have previously been involved in the management of my parents' Polish sp.z.o.o. (equivalent to a LLC) for several years. The tax situation is a little more relaxed, but the bureaucracy and some post-communist civil servant behavior can be quite frustrating

@HelgeKlein congrats @HelgeKlein - well deserved, the german handelsregister gave us already a clue in january, so as a uberagent partner we could anticipate what‘s coming. 🤪I thought you might be sailing off into the sunset but glad you‘re here to stay along with a great product!

I've worked as a Citrix consultant, architected & co-developed the product that became Citrix Profile Management and was awarded as a CTP for ten years. Becoming a Citrite now feels like coming home.

@Ac64940893 @tavi_chocochip Yes, NACS is very sleek, and CCS is very bulky, but there is one big problem: We have 3-phased AC charging with up to 22kW, our grid is just fundamentally different from north america, so even if we'd like to have it we couldn't. NACS can only deliver 2 phases AC

Tesla sales in Germany 🇩🇪 — DECEMBER & END-OF-YEAR update... basically, it's all bad: - 4,001 vehicles delivered in December make this Tesla's worst 3rd-month-of-qtr sales since... Q2 2022! - Q4 2023 is Tesla's worst quarter of sales since... Q2 2022; even below Q4 2021 sales level! - full-year sales DOWN in 2023 vs. 2022 (-9%), despite: ✅ total car sales in Germany being up 7.3% YoY, and ✅ BEV sales up 11.4% YoY - this results in a loss of market share for Tesla: 2.24% in 2023, down from 2.64% in 2022; in contrast, several German brands have gained market share in 2023 - Tesla ended the year as the 15th best-selling brand in Germany, down from 14th in 2022 and a high of 11th in the first half of 2023. Overall, BEV adoption in Germany is currently in a slight downtrend (despite a full-year net increase in sales, see above) not least due to the gradual scrapping of EV purchase incentives in the country starting last January and ending (abruptly) in mid-December. Even so, Tesla trailed behind the overall BEV market — 12.2% BEV market share in 2023 vs. 14.9% in 2022. It is not entirely clear to me what went so wrong for Tesla in 2023, despite having a really strong start of the year. The hope of many that Tesla's focus on the smaller European markets since the middle of 2023 will be balanced by a refocus on Germany in December seems to have been misplaced. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Regardless, Tesla probably needs to make some fundamental changes to how it markets its vehicles in the country in order to reverse its current trend in sales.

@enhauto if it indeed helps to lower the kWh/km you could use it as an energy saver mode 🙂 reminds me a bit of when i try to strech my battery in my laptop by going to energysaver … but drifting is sick too 😎💯

I wonder how many $TSLA fans pledged their shares to buy the car when SP was > $300 last year. Did they pledge more shares? Sell the car? Sell some shares 😱? Also, ask Polish home owners about taking out a collateral loan in CHF.

@stekkerauto Had a 2023 M3 rental for two weekends, to find out if it could be my next car. coming from BMW i really enjoyed the reliable 360° and ultrasonics, but VO is everything but precise especially in countless tight parking spots in the 🇪🇺 and 🇩🇪 - no bueno 🙁

TESLA has ADHD: A rant ⤵️ Exhibit A: Tesla bulls are in denial about the impact of removing USS sensors. Customers want parking sensors that work, not empty promises of a coming "Vision Fix". Tesla cut costs by ditching ultrasonic sensors, but also reduced parking assistance functionality. A software update to fix this with Vision is still missing. This hurts customer trust that Tesla earned over years. Trust is hard to gain, easy to lose. Exhibit B: Prior feature commitments like (very necessary) Enhanced European Autopilot improvements appear to have faded from priority. Again. There may be reasonable explanations for this, but clearer communication from Tesla could help set accurate expectations. Crickets. These are but some of the issues, the list goes on. Tesla keeps chasing tHe nExT thIng - instead of (also) finishing what they started. Tesla has a bad case of ADHD. Achieving an optimal balance between pursuing new innovation and perfecting existing products poses challenges, yet remains critical for retaining satisfied, loyal customers. Meanwhile, @elonmusk is busy with X, his new obsession. Tesla needs his full attention and leadership, but he is distracted. 🙁 Elon did a crazy number of things right at Tesla, and getting that company off the ground and into the stratosphere is a monumental achievement nonpareil (especially when you compare other EV startup's struggles). But there seems to be too much confidence at the top, and not enough pushback when required. "Yeah but it doesn't matter because it's all FSD anyway soon" just ain't enough. As a shareholder, I'm not happy about this situation. Yet, I'm still hopeful Elon Musk and his talented team make delivering on prior commitments as much a priority as enabling the future - their customers, shareholders and the acceleration of sustainable transport deserve no less. Clear-eyed yet constructive feedback like this comes from a place of confidence in what Tesla can achieve. Blasphemy it isn't. $TSLA

@tellmers @_POPPELGAARD I don‘t find it that big of a deal, sentiment analysis is something that can be done since quite a while. Sure GPT might have better results, but even Llama2 or some pretrained (zero-/fewshot) LLM‘s can do a decent job. just my 2c

@AdamGrossTX Talk to a CSP and get under his umbrella , so you‘ll be getting the license from a service provider instead directly from Citrix. Will give you way more flexibility. We‘ve been doing this a lot for customers in the past year for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Hey #Citrix community - we are trying to migrate away from #Citrix into AVD and Intune for VDI and Mobile device management. We are up for renewal and have just been told that we can only renew for 3yrs vs 1. We aren't going to be fully off the platform and new to renew a small number. Does anyone have any options for dealing with Citrix licensing? The renewal prices are triple what we were paying. Trying to go with concurrent device licensing for 300 seats for 1 yr vs 3300 named licenses that we currently have since we are only hitting 300 max daily concurrency and already migrating users to AVD. Anyone have any success dealing with these folks?
