@Oflululemon I used FSD every day. Just did a 3500 mile trip and the car drove 99% of the time flawlessly. The software is completely real. You can go demo one yourself. Don’t be ignorant by choice.

There are two—and only two—groups that have figured out how to produce EVs profitably and at scale: 1. China, led by BYD and backstopped by the CCP 2. Elon Musk and Tesla That’s it. No one else in the US—and certainly not in Europe—can do it. Not Ford. Not GM. Not VW. Definitely not Rivian. Collectively, these companies have burned tens of billions of dollars on underwhelming designs and flawed marketing strategies, with little to show for it but disappointing sales, layoffs, and investor writedowns. If you support EVs and you want an industry not fully dominated by China, you need to be rooting for Tesla and Elon. Because, at this point, they’re the only chance America has.

California residents who launched fireworks for the 4th of July have tickets coming in the mail, thanks to police drones that were taking note. One resident, for example, racked up $100,000 in fines last summer due to the illegal use of fireworks. "If you think you got away with it, you probably didn’t," said Sacramento Fire Department Captain Justin Sylvia. "What may have been a $1,000 fine for one occurrence last year could now be $30,000 because you lit off so many." Homeowners who weren't even present at the property also have tickets coming in the mail due to the social host ordinance. So lame.

You know he’s right. I love going into a dealership. I love being ignored for 30-60 minutes once I arrive. Then sitting through the sales pitch, when I already know more about the vehicle than their sales rep. Followed by a “shake down” by the finance team, as they try to sell me 7 additional warranties that I’ve already said “no” to 100x. Then being told I can’t take the car home today, even after paying for it because the sales process took 6 hours and now they don’t have time to clean and detail the vehicle because it’s time to close. Yeah. He’s right. Tesla sucks 🙃. It’s super inconvenient to purchase completely online, show up, and drive away.

Tesla’s direct-to-consumer model is leaving many drivers in frustration. Don Hall, CEO of the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association, breaks down why the franchise system still protects the customer. "The truth of the matter is this: we live in your communities, we're part of your communities, we've been around for generations, and we give a damn about our communities." "The fact of matter is that Tesla's model is not a model that gives you the kind of buying experience that you're entitled to and should have." "With franchise system, you got a choice, and you got a lot of folks who will compete and will do whatever it takes to earn your business and trust." - Thank you to our partner @getimpel! @TeslaBoomerMama The polling ain’t wrong….the case is interesting but I could care less about it in comparison to my cost of living, whether we get involved in foreign wars, and so on….i think the same holds true for average Americans

[NEWS] Ford’s throwing its weight behind a new pitch: Only this time, it’s “Zero-Zero-Zero.” $0 down, 0% APR for 48 months, and no payments for 90 days. Oh, and two years of basic maintenance to sweeten the deal. It’s the follow-up to the brand’s “From America, For America” campaign— Which helped carry momentum through the first few innings of what Jim Farley called a “nine-inning game” with tariffs in April. - Q2 sales totaled 612,095 units, up 14% YoY. Not sure what inning we’re in now, but it’s clear Ford’s leaning hard on price and urgency to keep the pace through Q3. @JoeTegtmeyer @RomainHedouin If you live in Toronto and only do urban driving, the average speed is 18 km/h. Average speed for cities is 30-50 km/h. I’d say very realistic in urban/suburban-urban settings if you avoid highways.

@GuyDealership Subsidies built the ICE boom and continue to perpetuate it. How are people so blind to this. It’s so much taxpayer money.

The EV landscape is splitting in two right now: Used EV sales jumped 32% YoY in May. But dealer supply just hit its lowest point since June 2022. Meanwhile, new EVs are piling up—111 days’ supply and counting. Leasing’s been the pressure valve on the new side. Thanks to the $7,500 “leasing loophole,” lease share surged from 15% in 2022 to 67% by March 2025. But that loophole ends Sept. 30. So here’s the squeeze… • New EVs need price support. • Used EVs need inventory. • And both are facing steep depreciation. EVs lose about 58% of their value after 5 years, vs. 46% for gas cars. Some models like the Kona EV and Niro EV are holding up. But others (like Tesla’s average and the Nissan Leaf) are dropping fast. My take: Subsidies built the EV boom. But now it’s time to see what sticks. And EV days-to-turn is the KPI to watch. Godspeed. Read the full Market Pulse, together with SalesApe: carguymedia.com/4lLd7Cx

After thinking about it for a bit more, Trump's handling of the Epstein case is a really, really bad stain on the admin. Honestly worse than Biden's debate performance from 2024 now that I've seriously given it some thought. If the Epstein conspiracy is even slightly true, this is about as transparent of an admission of something horrifying happening right below our noses as there can ever exist. If the Epstein conspiracy is completely false, then you hyped up the release of files related to a massive ring that ended up being not the case, which shows a total lack of morals, respect, and empathy for the victims & complete and total incompetence in handling such sensitive material. This is an unrecoverable stain on Trump and his admin from my perspective. He might boost the economy & make peace with countries, which long term would be good for the US, but the way he and his admin handled this shows terrible moral character. It's impossible to ignore and leaves a terrible stain on the GOP at large for going along with this garbage.

😂 we’ll call it even. You were dead right about the social/podcast advantages Trump had during the election, and the wild mistakes and stupidities of the Dems that would lead to a Trump electoral college landslide. But I was dead right about Trump/MAGA being a moral stain and being horribly bad for Tesla. Jury still out on the damage I’ve predicted Trump will do long term to our competitiveness in attracting great talent and to our economic/security strength.
