@FabienWeibel I made something similar with threejs

I’ve been working on the sand erosion physics for my sand castle building game.
Still needs some tuning, but it’s starting to behave the way I want.

@DAJKeffa @SpachusAus Futures curves at peak uncertainty tend to overshoot. Same curve was pricing aggressive hikes in 22-23 that the RBA never delivered.

The Australian 10 Year Government Bond is the highest it's been across this 10 year chart. Mortgage rates are going up. #RBA

@SpachusAus @solo_dio_ Also been a fairly early (I believe?) sub. Great site - part of my regular ritual. Nothing I say is personal whatsoever and hope it doesn’t come across as such.

@solo_dio_ We have people telling us it will drop, the Iran war will not last months and inflation will go back to target. 🤣🐷 ✈️

@Agrz2020 @SpachusAus My philosophy in life is generally centred around “nothing ever happens”.
English

Disagree. The RBA’s own analysis attributes a large portion of the recent inflation pickup to sector-specific factors they expect to dissipate. And ‘significant rate rises’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. The market has 25bps more priced in, not a full hiking cycle. On Iran, every war since 1990 has had a shorter oil price impact than consensus expected at the time.
English

@captain0001 No way will the inflation drop back to target without significant rate rises. The Iran war won't be weeks but months too.
English

@great_martis Yields up 1% on a day where nothing happened. ‘It’ is a German infrastructure bill and the BOJ is starting to remember interest rates exist. The 10Y is where it was in November. Calm down Nostradamus.

been running this exact playbook since mid-2024. Jan 2028 LEAPS basket on NVDA/AAPL/GOOGL/MSFT.
NVDA only needs a 2.2x from here to hit $10T. the others need 2.5-2.8x. weight NVDA heaviest, pick strikes around the share price implied by $8-10T cap (~$350-400 for NVDA).
budget is what you’d light on fire and not cry about. one name printing covers the whole basket many times over.
key thing people fuck up - they single-name it. your thesis is literally “at least one” so the basket IS the trade.

@defense_eye @sentdefender Routine rotations don’t simultaneously backfill Europe with F-22s while pushing two SEAD/DEAD wings toward the Gulf. 48 airframes in coordinated packages with coverage planning = deliberate posture shift, not training.
English

US Air Force routinely conducts transatlantic fighter rotations for training and contingency readiness, how does this February 2026 movement spanning multiple KC-46/KC-135 tankers and F-16/F-22 deployments differ from standard operational exercises? Given ongoing tensions with Iran, what criteria determine escalation from logistical positioning to potential combat operations?
English

Major fighter movements by the U.S. Air Force towards the Middle East are currently underway this morning, with 3 KC-46A “Pegasus” Aerial-Refueling Tankers, ROMA01/02/03, currently up over the Northeastern United States, supporting the transfer of 12 F-22 Raptors with the 1st Fighter Wing stationed at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia to RAF Lakenheath in Europe.
While 6 KC-135R Stratotankers and a KC-46A Pegasus, CLEAN21/22/23/31/32/33, are preparing for the crossing of 12 F-16CJ with the “Swamp Foxes” of the the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base to Naval Station Rota in Spain.
In addition to the crossing of at least 24 fighter jets from the United States to Europe, 4 KC-135 Stratotankers from bases in Europe, LAGER12/13 and LAGER10/14, are actively in the process of towing 12 F-16C Fighting Falcons with the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base in Italy and 12 F-16CJs with the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany, to air bases in the Middle East.

Both, but lean toward self-checking early. Reading waveforms builds intuition you’ll need for debugging, but it doesn’t scale and you will miss things.
Self-checking forces you to think about expected behavior upfront - that’s the real skill. When your self-checker fails, then hit the waveforms to diagnose.

RF eng here: HFP tops out at CVSD/mSBC (8-16 kHz). When the mic turns on, the stack drops from A2DP to HFP so it sounds like a phone. For real two way quality you need LE Audio with LC3 on both headset and OS, which is still rare on PCs. That said, you could use something like a Creative Zen Hybrid Pro Classic + Creative BT‑L3 LE Audio transmitter. Plug the BT‑L3 into your PC, pair the headset to it, and you get LC3 two‑way audio (music + mic) over LE Audio, not old HFP.
English

OMG I hate bluetooth HFP mode sooo much! :(
Does anyone have a good solution for getting high quality two way bluetooth audio? I know protocols exist, but I can't find a headset/PC (or mobile) combo that works in practice.
LaurieWired@lauriewired
How much better is modern bluetooth audio compared to the past? The answer is a lot…and also not at all. It all depends on the mode. One-way, with modern codecs (music, etc) is quite good. Headset mode (bidirectional, think zoom calls) is still awful:
