If you have been looking for a sign or a push to start investing in shares, this is it. Set up your stockbroker account if you have not done so already. Beginner friendly options include Bamboo, Trove, Meristem and Stanbic IBTC. Most of them require as little as N5,000 to get started. No excuses. Now here are 10 stocks worth considering: 1. MTN Nigeria (MTNN): The most capitalized stock on the NGX with a 79% gain in 2026. Telecoms is not going anywhere. 2. Zenith Bank: Consistent dividends and strong earnings. You get paid just for holding it. 3. GTCO: Still underpriced relative to its long term potential. A solid value play. 4. Aradel Plc: One of the best performing stocks on the NGX this year. Oil and gas money is real. 5. Seplat Energy: Added trillions in market cap in 2026 alone. The energy sector is on fire. 6. Dangote Cement: Stable, large cap and reliable. Infrastructure in Nigeria is not slowing down. 7. BUA Foods: Nigerians will always eat. That is your investment thesis right there. 8. Lafarge Africa: Strong construction play with a 15.99% year to date return in early 2026. 9. Presco: Agriculture stocks are quietly making investors rich. Over 50% gain year to date. 10. Wema Bank: One of the surprise performers of the year, growing fast through digital banking with ALAT. You do not need millions to start. You need a stockbroker account, discipline and patience. The NGX is open. Put your money to work. Which of these are you already holding or planning to buy? Above all, love God.

@RodriMCFC__ @Sports_Doctor2 You still dodged the question you raised yourself, and beating around the bush, why didn't he use them? If he is that good at bringing out the best in players like Fergie. Delap nko? Reijnders was signed for big money last summer still he signed semenyo January?

I can’t believe we’re doing this again, “Pep Guardiola is a bigger Premier League Manager than Sir Alex Ferguson” Please, let’s stop, what Pep did with City is legendary but what Sir Alex did can’t be repeated. Sir Alex remains the only manager to win the Scottish Premier League with Aberdeen outside Celtic and Rangers and it’s not been repeated since 1984. He didn’t just win the league with them, he won a European Cup and that wasn’t achieved by splashing the cash. He came to Man United, a team that had not won the league in 20 years and turned them into a machine, dominating the league and winning 2 UCL, since he left, they’re yet to recover. Pep met a Man City who had won league titles with Mancini and Pellegrini with owners who were splashing the cash, like I said Pep did a wonderful job at City but please Sir Alex remains “Father”.

@RodriMCFC__ @Sports_Doctor2 James Trafford was sold, City bought him back after a good season, still Pep left him & signed Dona. Where is Palmer, Iheancho, Max now? What didnt he win with them? U argued that he used academy to win trophies at Barca, why didn't he replicate it at City? Than spending billions

James Trafford was from the City Academy, same with Foden (the POTY for 23/24 season), Nico O’Riley, Max Alleyne, Rico Lewis, Kelechi Iheanacho, Cole Palmer etc don’t be like that! Pep used all these players & many more all along 10yrs at the club SAF signed a whole lot of players too. what’s your argument??

@RodriMCFC__ @Sports_Doctor2 Why didn't Pep use the same Academy at Mancity to win even FA cup not to talk of League? Last summer alone, how many players did he sign? He even signed two goalkeepers same time.

Sir Alex Ferguson broke the British transfer record multiple times bringing in; Roy Keane Andy Cole Ruud van Nistelrooy Juan Sebastián Verón Rio Ferdinand and building a solid team that won multiple titles. Pep took a La Macia boys & won the Sextuplets at Barca (the first & only one of two to do it) in world football He came to City, spent 10 years and won 20 trophies — 4-in-a-row PL champion, 100 points, domestic quadruple (only coach to achieve it), domestic treble & so many more records while also spending money just like SAF did. just to remind you, SAF managed club football for 39yrs & won 49 trophies while Pep has managed for 20yrs and won 41 trophies give that maniac 5 more years and SAF’s trophy legacy will be long gone! Pep is wayyyy above Sir Alex Ferguson — SAF enjoyed longevity, money & also influence but Pep came to change the dynamics, raise giants & so many students and totally transformed football ps: SAF was once asked if there will ever be a time Man City will go into a derby as favorites & he said “not in my life time” 😂 well, not it’s EVERY TIME 😂😂

If you are yet to start earning on X and you truly want to, here is what you should start doing. This is based on my personal experience: 1. Be a reply guy. No reply guy stays broke for long. Drop 100 to 300 valuable comments under people's posts daily. This is how you gain followers and visibility. This is how I connected with some of my closest mutuals. Repost for people too. Give generously. 2. Use the quote feature wisely. Whenever you have a story to share, a strong point to make or a reason to disagree, do not drop it in the comments alone. Do the double style. Drop your story in the comments and quote the post with it too. Double visibility. Double win. 3. Share stories from your past and present experiences. Stories people can learn from. Stories that are relatable. And please, make them concise sometimes. Not every story needs to be a thread. Short and powerful hits just as hard. 4. Turn on notifications for at least 20 accounts. Big or small, it does not matter. What matters is that you are learning from them or they are genuinely supportive. Do not turn on notifications for an account just because of their size. Ask yourself two questions: Am I learning from this account? Is this account supportive or stingy with engagement? 5. Have your own voice. Be bold with your takes and do not let anyone silence you because they think you cannot do without them. I built this account from scratch without any big account carrying me. The few shoutouts I received, I earned them. I engaged those accounts back to back to back until they noticed my consistency. That is the only shortcut that works. 6. Subscribe to one or two accounts that can push you, if you can comfortably afford it. It is not compulsory but it can accelerate things. Most importantly, nobody can build your page for you. That responsibility is 90% yours. People can support you by engaging but if you do not create content, what exactly will they engage with? Start. Stay consistent. The earnings will follow. Above all, love God.

10 life hacks for you: 1. Those agberos that always hail you at your street or junction, give them money once in a while. Even 200 or 500 naira is enough. Those people can be more reliable than the police sometimes. 2. Whenever you are visiting a place for the first time, do not focus on the road alone. Read signboards, mark landmarks and take note of key buildings. That information will save you one day. 3. Do not get used to only one route home. Sometimes take a different road. It keeps you unpredictable and away from people who may have mapped your movement. 4. Buy a car before you think of building a house. A car gives you mobility, timeliness and connections. It puts you ahead in ways a foundation in the ground cannot. 5. If a phone dealer is selling you an iPhone 14 or below as "brand new", walk away. Apple has not been producing those models for years. What they are packaging as new is fairly used. Know your product before you enter that shop. 6. No matter how small your salary is, save at least 20% of it every month. Be disciplined about this. You'll thank yourself later. 7. In arguments, stay calm. Listen to the other person fully and be careful with your words. The one who stays composed almost always wins. 8. Your one and a half month salary should be enough to cover your annual rent. If you earn 200k monthly, do not rent a house above 300k per year. You will regret it. 9. Your first salary should go straight to your father. Withdraw the cash and take it to him. Hand everything over and kneel to receive his blessing. Your father is the authority over your life on this earth. That blessing will carry you further than any strategy. 10. Take at least two glasses of warm water every morning, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. It is good for your immune system and gut health. And when you have a fever, drink at least two full bottles of water. Your body needs it. Above all, love God.

There is this defender at Chelsea Football Club, Tosin Adarabioyo. I'm sure he's well known. According to the gist, Tosin has a brother who also tried football but has been out of contract for a long time. Because of that, he is said to be living with Tosin and depending on him financially. The brother reportedly has a daughter with a non-Nigerian, though not married. Now here is the main gist. The baby mama went to court and sued Tosin himself, not the father of her baby. Her argument was that Tosin has a legal responsibility to pay child support for his niece, simply because he is wealthy and related to the child’s father. Tosin hired lawyers and challenged the case. The court dismissed all her claims, stating clearly that Tosin has no legal obligation to pay child support for his brother’s child. After losing the case, the woman went on social media to complain. She claimed that instead of giving her money, Tosin chose to spend money on lawyers. The real drama, according to the gist, is that every time Chelsea has a home game, she shows up at Stamford Bridge, staging a one woman protest against Tosin. I got this gist from CJ Ebuka Facebook wall and I've confirmed the same to be true. I'm just here wondering: what's going on? Women, how far nah?

ATIKU GETS 68824 VOTES YO WIN ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES IN SOKOTO Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the African Democratic Congress presidential primary in Sokoto State, polling a total of 68,824 votes to defeat his closest challengers. Atiku’s tally dwarfed that of fellow aspirants Hayatu-Deen and Rotimi Amaechi, who managed 319 and 292 votes respectively. Declaring the results at the ADC secretariat in Sokoto, Returning Officer Prof Aminu Abubakar announced Atiku as the winner after securing the “highest lawful votes” cast during the exercise. Prof Abubakar described the process as transparent, noting that delegates conducted themselves peacefully throughout the accreditation, voting, and collation phases. He commended party officials and security agents for maintaining order. The primary, which drew party faithful from all 23 local government areas of Sokoto State, was monitored by ADC national observers and INEC representatives. Voting began early and concluded without major hitches.

Because I'm a medical doctor, on ground & practicing in Anambra state at the time this happened, let me take my time to school you, even though I know you're just trying to be mischievous. What was the reason for the strike? The Fed Govt had implemented the CONMESS payment
Ayobami@dondekojo

You are supporting someone that not only owed Drs for 3 years, but didn’t bother about Drs striking for 13 months! In one state, at the height of the oil boom. Meanwhile you’re subbing that others have a candidate for pecuniary gains. Please let everyone be calm.

What a job Fabregas has done. He strategically went to Como to end his playing career 4 years ago. You cannot tell me it wasn’t strategic, going to a team struggling in Serie B. He quickly bought shares at the club while playing (alongside Thierry Henry), and he also completed his coaching badges. He retired at the end of the 22/23 season and was coaching the U19s, the first coaching job came in November 2023 when Como weren’t doing well, he became interim head coach (for a “dispensation period”, because his badges weren’t complete), he later became a figurehead assistant in the last half of the season due to same reason. He promoted Como to Serie A after 20 years, just in his first season as head coach. In his 2nd season in the Serie A, he’s qualified them to the champions league. I have watched Como a few times this season, and the kind of football they play is so beautiful. Very beautiful football. Kudos to Cesc.

My final engagement before leaving Capetown for Johannesburg yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting two distinguished former leaders, President Ian Khama of Botswana and President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, before departing Cape Town for Johannesburg yesterday. This meeting was an opportunity for me to express my heartfelt appreciation for their positive comments on the recent immigration issues in the region and their continued advocacy for peace and unity among African nations. Both Mr Khama and Mr Mbeki continue to hold significant respect across the continent due to their remarkable contributions, both during and after their presidencies. During my audience with Mr Mbeki, I also reconnected with my good friend, former Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi, who delivered a keynote address at the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day lecture, focusing on the themes of rebuilding unity and revitalising institutions throughout the continent. This event was organised by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation. -PO
