@ahmedsohail Not really surprising though is it ? When simply saying you love your country and your culture makes you an extremist.

I work in counter-extremism and deliver prevent training. There are more referrals for far-right extremism than there are for Islamist extremism, despite Islamist terrorism being the larger threat both by number of terrors attacks and by MI5 caseload.
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

I'm trying to imagine Muslim kids chanting something similar about the Jewish or Christian faiths at a rally in London. The Prevent folks, counter-terrorism police, the entire British media would be all over the story, asking why Muslims are so extreme & brainwashing their kids.

Challenging day for the Metropolitan Police who briefed me on their operational response from their command centre. Thank you to every officer on the streets of London today for their professionalism and bravery.

@MichelleDewbs I live near this theatre and have taken the kids to several Christmas pantos. I doubt I’ll ever go again as I don’t want to give them my money anymore.

I remember seeing lots of Chubby Brown’s stuff as a young adult. The man was hilarious & I’m sure he’s just as funny now. Why do these venues keep pretending they are about “inclusivity” when what they really mean is ‘any one we disagree with is excluded. Inclusion is only for those with whom we agree & diversity excludes that of thought.’ This cancel culture is one of the reasons we have a society filled with young adults who have anxiety issues. They literally can’t cope with opinions different from theirs. It is utterly pathetic. Run the show. If you’re into it - go. If you’re not - don’t. This really isn’t rocket science 🤷‍♀️ Btw - all these organisations who go along with ‘cancel culture’ (mainly driven by activists) be careful, because one day you may find it is you on the end of it… 🤡🌍

A Devon theatre has cancelled Roy “Chubby” Brown’s performance over “inclusion” concerns. Exmouth Pavillion informed the comedian that it had cancelled his performance — part of his “No Offence Meant” tour — as the show “no longer aligns with the organisations long-term strategic direction”. The theatre said that it wants to promote “inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion”. The 81-year-old comedian has been banned from performing several times before and has been accused of racism. This is despite the posters advertising his performance warning “those easily offended stay away”, discouraging those under the age of 18 from attending and saying “This is an adult comedy and not intended to offend”. Following the decision, the comedian made a statement via social media: “Unfortunately, the Exmouth Pavilion’s new management informed us late Friday night by email that they would be cancelling Roy’s planned performance. “To cut the email short, the explanation on the email was, and I quote one sentence, ‘This show no longer aligns with the organisation’s long-term strategic direction’. “Make of that what you will and I think you can guess what my opinion is, but let’s not go over old ground again. “One thing I will just say, and this is totally my opinion, and you may or may not agree, but as an individual, you have a personal right to decide for yourself. “Wouldn’t the sensible thing, if the new management has an issue for any reason with the Chubby show, have been to honour the contracted booking and let the show go ahead?” He went on to add: “cancelling a show three-and-a-half months before the actual date when fans have bought tickets and probably made travel plans” was “totally the wrong decision”. “I have since talked to one of the theatre management to try and make sense of the situation and, although obvious to say we see it totally differently would be an understatement, sadly the decision will not be reversed”. A counter statement from a spokesperson for LED Community Leisure — which runs the Pavillion — said: “As a public community venue, Exmouth Pavilion exists to promote culture, the arts and freedom of expression. “We recognise that this decision will have caused disappointment and inconvenience for some, and we are sorry for that. “As a charitable operator of public spaces, LED’s role is to carefully balance artistic freedom with our responsibility to promote inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion.” If the Pavillion really did exist to promote freedom of expression, it wouldn’t cancel performances due to the fact it may offend people. Billionaire David Tepper just made a new $179 million bet. Appaloosa Management's latest 13F filing is out. And there's a big new position in Sandisk, $SNDK. Tepper bought in for $179 million. That makes it a 3.0% position in his fund, right out of the gate. This is a significant move from one of the best investors alive. He also added to his positions in $AMZN and $MU. Tepper is known for making concentrated, high-conviction bets when he sees an opportunity. $SNDK is now one of them. Do we share the same opinion on semiconductor stocks? Probably not. Our opinion is closer to Michael Burry’s: the sector is clearly overvalued. When WE make a new move in the market, we will let you know. Turn on notifications so you don’t miss the signal. This is VERY important. A lot of people will wish they had followed us sooner.

This tit refused to take off his grim-reaper mask, despite repeated requests by police. So he was arrested. Once he’s arrested, he then cried foul as he took it off *after* arrest. That’s not how it works, you daft twat. “We’re in a police state! This is a scandal!” 🤡 FAFO

Enough is enough. Today, @D_Tarczynski, @RealDonKeith, @AdaLluch, @JoeyMannarino and I have formally instructed our lawyer, @Fr_Gargallo, to issue a Letter of Claim to @Keir_Starmer. The letter demands that he immediately retract his defamatory statements in which he labelled us “far-right agitators” who wish to incite violence. Should he fail to comply, we reserve all our legal rights to pursue further action against him.

@gorbalsgoebbels He’s not a decent bloke though. He stands outside number 10 shaking hands with an Islamist murderer and then blocks people from coming here who only want to talk to a crowd at a rally. It’s double standards. It’s the tier. It’s not decent. Not at all. It’s disgusting actually.

Is Starmer amazing? No. Is he a decent bloke? Yes. Every leader makes mistakes. Thatcher, Churchill, Blair. Now tiny issues are magnified into full blown crisis. Perspective needed. Line must be drawn or we end up with instability ad infinitum with PMs going every other year.

In 1987 Heathrow was Privatised by Margaret Thatcher. Today they are saying they need to be bailed out. The Government never should have sold something as essential or valuable as the largest airport in Europe. It's time to let them go bankrupt then renationalise for pennies.

The Prime Minister and Home Secretary have banned several “far-right agitators’ from entering the UK and criticised the Unite the Kingdom rally. Starmer and Mahmood claim their presence is “not conducive to the public good”. This is the wrong decision. The Prime Minister should not shy away from defending his Government’s policies in the face of criticism from conservative voices — foreign or domestic — by banning them from the UK.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

@Iromg My wife waited two years for a wrist operation. On the day of the Op they looked at her wrist again and said they didn’t need to do it. Two years later and she’s still got the same problem. Why ? Because they haven’t fixed it yet and all they’ve done is crossed her off the list.

@jomickane If she’s hated it’s because she’s a horrible person. Most horrible people wouldn’t be safe out in public if everyone knew how horrible they were. I expect she thinks it’s because she’s brown though. That’s how horrible she is. Always about her colour when it never is.
