Cautionary tale: Someone in our club, less familiar with the risks of idle fees, got charged in what looks like one of the largest penalty fees we’ve ever seen. They said they weren’t aware of the idle risks and have no notifications activated for their smart phone and rarely supercharge. All in all: 🙀🙀🙀

@DBurkland @captaindespacio $29.50 idle fee! If 50% or more stalls are full, you get first 5 mins free and then it’s $1 for each minute once the car has reached it’s charge level which may have been dropped to 80% if the charger was busy.

Found someone else who’s parked without charging, since they “forgot” to plug in I plugged it in for them so they can get some idle fees since there’s a 5 car line. Love helping the community.

@DBurkland @captaindespacio Idle fees are imposed when a car remains plugged in after charging has completed for 5 minutes. This helps ensure the efficient use of charging spots for other waiting vehicles.
