🚨FLORIDA WOMAN ACCUSED OF KICKING DOG IN FACE COULD FACE UP TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON
A 64-year-old Florida woman is facing felony aggravated animal cruelty charges after Fort Myers police say she repeatedly kicked a dog in the face during a confrontation over the animal not being on a leash.
According to investigators, officers responded to a disturbance on Red Cedar Drive involving two women. Police say Olga Dimant approached the dog’s owner while recording her on a cellphone because the dog was not on a leash.
The dog’s owner told officers she agreed the dog should have been leashed and attempted to walk away, but said Dimant continued following and recording her. During the confrontation, the owner says the dog approached Dimant multiple times and Dimant kicked the dog in the face several times, causing the animal to yelp in pain.
Witnesses reportedly told police the dog appeared friendly and non-aggressive throughout the incident. Officers also reviewed video footage that allegedly showed the dog being kicked.
Dimant was booked into the Lee County Jail on May 13, 2026, on charges of aggravated animal cruelty involving excessive pain or death. In Florida, aggravated animal cruelty is a serious felony offense that can carry a sentence of up to five years in prison.
