Motion passes! The LA Charter Reform Commission approved a clarification aligning the City Charter with state law, the California Public Banking Act (AB 857), so LA has a path to pursue a public bank if it chooses. Thanks to Chair Raymond Meza & Commissioner Carla Fuentes.

We're fired up to see SF Supervisor @JackieFielder_ pushing a measure to fund the nation's first municipal public bank. This is the kind of concrete step we need! Keep public dollars working for affordable housing, small biz & clean energy, instead of feeding big bank profits!
