Here's something interesting! Long-time Infinite Flight user and Berkeley student Luca recently teamed up with a group of Stanford students for a project that focused on modernizing and expanding flight training using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI. By integrating Infinite Flight and @ForeFlight into @Apple Vision Pro, and leveraging LLMs for accurate feedback and procedural coaching, they prototyped a cost-effective and accessible tool for pilot proficiency. They took 3rd place in the Aerospace Hackathon 🏆 Congrats to Luca and his team! We're excited to learn more about this awesome concept.

@davidortinau @prollin @UnoPlatform thanks - though the fact there are two docs with similar info just highlights the confusion for me. Frequently, it comes from understanding if an implementation is "legacy Xamarin", iOS/Android bindings ("Xamarin" on GitHub), or MAUI, or a VS MAUI/Xamarin bug.

@carmalonso @prollin @UnoPlatform as Xamarin does actually become legacy and is out of support those VS bits will be updated. Much of tooling is shared between Xamarin and .NET MAUI since they are related. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/m… Any time you have doubts, file them on dotnet/maui. Ask me anytime.

Trivia: Mac Catalyst support in .NET comes from which repo or organization on GitHub?

@davidortinau @prollin @UnoPlatform I understand One .NET is a big task for your team and there will be lots of legacy. Yet with so many years on the stack, I am running into points of confusion weekly. Happy to report them on GitHub, but then I am not sure what repo those need to go into

I don't get this on our net-ios project.

@brungarc Yup. it was exhausting for us trying to understand how they grouped issues randomly for years, and migrating from Xamarin made it clear it was the end. We were initially sceptical of other services (dotnet ios/android tools being abandoned...) but so glad we went for Sentry!

@TablePlus Felt like the writing was on the wall for this one sadly. We moved over to @getsentry last year after numerous AppCenter issues and the improvements are night and day. Self-hosted is also an option which is a win :)

So, is AppCenter done now? We're tired of moving around. Maybe we will build our own crash report system...
