The journey wasn’t quick or easy, 8 years completing a degree while working full-time as an SNA & raising three young children, two with additional needs. Add two years for the PME, & now the finish line is finally in sight. This feels special ✨️ #pme #studentteacher #teacher

@salltweets @salltweets you are an absolute warrior to go through all that and still keep fighting for women's rights 💜 having a daughter makes the battle even more real.... thank you for your courage

It has officially been 4 years since the Australian Human Rights Commission complaint was filed against me & the woman only online platform I created, alleging gender identity discrimination, because a man claims to be a woman.
In that time:
• I was told by the AHRC/sex discrimination commission that sex is assigned at birth.
• I found out at 20 weeks pregnancy I was having a girl, while in dispute with the AHRC.
• The AHRC treated me as guilty with zero interest in hearing about women’s sex based rights.
• To settle the complaint I was told to let him on platform, let all men who claim to be women on the platform, apologize, pay $20,000, attend sex & gender education classes and moderate content so men who claim to be a woman weren’t offended.
• I said no.
• He filed in federal court.
• He withdrew the case from federal court.
• I gave birth to my daughter.
• He refiled in federal court.
• The federal court had to consider if the case would go ahead. It was decided yes. This process added an extra year onto the whole ordeal.
• The AHRC intervened in the federal court case as “amicus curiae”, aka friend of the court, supposedly a neutral position just there to interpret the law.
• The AHRC has always interpreted the law in favor of gender identity, ignoring the reality of biological sex in the SEX discrimination act.
• The judge refused to allow the UN special rapporteur to intervene. She was on my side.
• During the hearing, he sat with the AHRC/sex discrimination commissioner not his own legal team.
• During cross examination, I momentarily laughed at an image of a candle I had nothing to do with.
• The judge decided “sex is changeable” & I had done unlawful indirect gender identity discrimination, which means I didn’t know he had a gender identity but that doesn’t matter I’m guilty anyway.
• I was ordered to pay damages of $10,000 for laughing at the candle.
• I filed to appeal the decision.
• He also filed to appeal the decision, doing a cross appeal to change the decision from indirect to direct discrimination + damages of at least $40,000.
• The AHRC intervened again, once again claiming that gender identity replaces sex.
• Lesbian Action Group intervened arguing that sex & sexual orientation are biological & lesbians should be able to have lesbian only spaces, services & events.
• Equality Australia, one of the leading LGBTQI+ organizations in the country intervened specifically against Lesbian Action Group, arguing that sex is a spectrum therefore some heterosexual men who claim to be women are women/lesbians so should be included in lesbian spaces, services & events.
• He wanted me to pay 100% of costs. I said no & offered a $50,000 cost cap.
• The new judges agreed with me. It was my first win in the whole process.
• The appeal was heard in court in August 2025, in front of 3 judges. We need 2 to agree with us to win.
• For the cross appeal, the court was told I should have known he was a woman because he was wearing a V-neck t-shirt in a photo.
• A decision should/could be given by December 19.
• FOI’s revealed that the sex discrimination commissioner wants the UN special rapporteur removed from her position because she knows what a woman is/interprets international conventions correctly.
• The sex discrimination commissioner told the senate that her role is “gender equality & for the LGBTQI community”.
• She also told the senate she doesn’t know what a biological man is because she is “not a medical expert”.
• thousands of people generously donated to gigglecrowdfund.com to pay for the over $1.5million in legal fees to fight this (we still need to raise over $400,000).
• The other side was funded by pro-bono legal representation + a grant from the Grata Fund.
• My daughter is 3.5 years old.
• The platform has been offline for 3 years.
• If the case goes to the high court, my daughter will be 5 when it’s all over.
It’s been a wild, yet utterly stupid, ride.

@Kathryninthesun @SpiritedSparr0w My son remembers the umbilical cord too...he said there was a "rope" and it was "stripey"
English

@SpiritedSparr0w My daughter said it was dark and warm and she had a friend (that she described shaped like long twisty snake) the umbilical cord❤️

My 3 year old was slapping my belly and I said “you know, you used to be in there.”
Him: “I know, when I was a little baby.”
Me: “do you remember being in there?”
Him: “yup!”
Me: “oh really? What was it like in there?”
Him: “ba dum ba dum” (like a heartbeat)
Me: “oh you heard my heart beating??”
Him: “yes and it was like heaven”
So maybe when we go to heaven we’ll feel warm and safe and held. It’s a nice thought. I’m also amazed that he believes he remembers being in my belly. I wonder if this is possible.

@carolmon @dublin_damo Yes it is a UNESCO site.
Each year I say I'll get there for their Arde Lucus festival, where they re-enact Roman times.
More & more Spanish are visiting there.
English

@cmurfi10 @dublin_damo Lugo is amazing with it's intact Roman walls... Great to walk at sunset (I think it's an UNESCO site)
Lots traditional bars and restaurants and a very vibrant buzzy feel in the town too
English

@dublin_damo Have you ever made it to Lugo or Ribeira Sacra & Canón do Sil?
The Canyon is wonderful.
Lugo with it's old Roman walls. Not on many tourists radar.

**Dad appreciation post**
(I know he reads my posts, because he tells me about the typos 😂)
I want to thank my Dad for being with me every step of the way during this stupid yet serious nightmare.
Dad has read the sex discrimination act, the Tickle v Giggle decision, and every submission so many times it’s at the point where he can quote them all off the top of his head. He could probably be quite an effective sex discrimination commissioner, to be honest.
It’s not that common that you get to spend so much time with a parent when you’re an adult. I feel really lucky that I have been able to. I will forever cherish the bond RG & I have formed during this process.
He has answered every hysterical phone call, talked me off the ledge multiple times, calmed me down & always reminded me, “you are right.”
When Team Tickle was making the argument, in the full federal court, that V-neck tshirts are women’s tshirts… my Dad was sitting in court wearing a V-neck tshirt. It became yet another ridiculous anecdote in this crazy saga that you couldn’t make up.
My whiskey drinking buddy has gone home now to help take care of my little girl while I have to do more work, and I just want to say…
Thank you, Papa 🩷

@jk_rowling I'll never understand how the world (rightly) united against apartheid on the basis of race but ignores apartheid on the basis of sex ... It scares me to think that maybe so many people see this as just a more exaggerated expression of the natural order
English

@WDIAfghanistan @jk_rowling Totally gender apartheid!!
I've always wondered how the world could (rightfully) unite against racial apartheid and ignore the inequalities when the targets are women..... the answers are depressing
