Disheartening yet unsurprising results from @ResidentDoctors survey regarding CBME. Learning value of EPAs minimal if not negative while concurrently adding stress to the eval process. Moreover, the onus of completing evaluations is largely placed on learners. #CCME2022

Sigh. 😭 Gifted a parking ticket by the city after a 24 hr shift at the hospital. I’ll pay the fine because there are rules. But I wish these rules apply equally to the disruptive protestors in downtown, where I also live, causing ++traffic delays to get to the hospital. Irony.

Reasons to cancel the MCCQE2 1. It is unnecessary given that every single specialty requires a separate licensing exam before independent practice. 2. It is extremely expensive, $3k or approximately 4-5% of the annual salary of a resident doctor

Asked one of our Indian security guards in the hospital today about how he was doing with the current crisis in India. He broke down, telling me how helpless and anxious he feels. Reach out to your Indo-Canadian/America colleagues, our hearts are breaking watching this unfold 💔

@carterwlim It has helped me realize that I sometimes forget to brush my teeth on call... and so I turn around back to my call room to scrub 2 min.

Still kinda blows my mind that with masks, I'll sometimes work with a colleague every day for an entire month and never know what the bottom half of their face looks like.

And for some reason my default imagination is that everyone has giant handlebar mustaches under there.
