❗️⚠️🇺🇸 - A McDonnell Douglas MD-11 cargo aircraft, operating as UPS Flight 2976, crashed shortly after takeoff from the UPS Worldport hub at Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident triggered a massive explosion and fire that engulfed multiple nearby buildings, with thick black smoke rising from the crash site at the end of a runway. Authorities report that at least 25,000 gallons of jet fuel was onboard at the time. The airport is closed to all arrivals and departures, and a shelter-in-place order is in effect for a five-mile radius around the facility.
