There’s a difference in indulging an obvious and potentially harmful lie/misinformation and letting someone tell you about a life experience they had that was not the same as yours. There’s also a difference in, “that’s impossible” & “that’s unlikely”.

Just because someone has different experiences than you did in the same situation does not mean they’re exaggerating or lying. Life is a lot stranger than some people’s imaginations, so why not be kind and curious rather than cold and dismissive about someone else’s life?

No real point here- other than that a regular nerdy middle class dude like my dad took this shit really seriously & the idea that someone entrusted with the leadership of this nation took that shit to his house is so incredible. In a bad way.
