@JamesB_afc You seem to be annoyed that he is’looking busy’! Yes I’he could have tried to turn but he probably wasn’t fully oblivious to where the defenders were and he didn’t want to take the risk. There is so much nitpicking with everything Odegaard does and you are just adding fuel….

I actually thought he did ok yesterday. But when I was getting mad post-Southampton and saying I won’t fall for him “buzzing around and looking busy” this was the kind of stuff I mean…

@FreshPrinceAFC @AFCMet I am critical too of him a lot of times (slows things down a bit, not clinical enough) but I think it’s all relative (he was world class for a couple of seasons), I just think he still brings a lot to the team….and I think he has become the scapegoat for many Arsenal fans

@cat_global @AFCMet Yea I agree. We all want to see that Odegaard back. He was so exciting and literally was the spark of the team. I dont think he is the scape goat i think people are rightly critical of his performances. We know what he is capable of and want to see that.

This is why I can’t take many opinions on Ødegaard seriously. Because it’s so disingenuous and zero point in arguing about it, because people have made up their minds

@FreshPrinceAFC @AFCMet But I agree Odegaard hasn’t been as good last two seasons as he was previously - could be a number of reasons for that (I think injury is one)

@FreshPrinceAFC @AFCMet Everyone on the team loses the ball sometimes but the focus is only on Odegaard. And I don’t think he is a real 10 he is more a hybrid 8/10 and arteta probably asks him to drop deep. Going forward he is dependent on runs and movement from wingers/striker.

@therealbrayna @SirLeoBDasilva I disagree - he spreads play to both sides, played triangles with white and madueke, and is always an option to receive the ball…he is a nuisance to the opponent. Also, this is an away quarter final in the champions league. Control is super important.

I think the worst part of that Sporting match was when the commentator said Odegaard gets the ball and does nothing with it. Just back passes. It was so sad to hear.

Nå blir jeg sikkert kalt noe rart av Bodø-fans igjen, men jeg tror jeg endelig har skjønt hvorfor jeg rater Rosenborgs CL-periode over Glimts CL-år så langt. Ene er selvsagt at Rosenborg klarte det 8 år på rad. Helt sinnsykt å tenke på egentlig. Selv den gang var ikke det bankers. Det andre er æraen de gjorde det i. Alle lag hadde sinnsyke spillere. Zidane, Ronaldo, Henry, Bergkamp, Del Piero, Totti osv osv osv. Lista er lang. Jeg klarer ikke å rate spillere idag i nærheten av det som var for 20-25 år siden. Nivået var så latterlig mye høyere den gang. Fotballen føles bare større idag pga sosiale medier, altfor mye penger og mye mer TV-dekning. Kvaliteten var så mye bedre den gang.

Viktor bekrefter at han har avsluttet samarbeidet med Grant Waite, og at han nå er gjenforent med TJ Yeaton. De to jobbet først sammen på starten av fjoråret, blant annet under Dubai Desert Classic. Hovland ladet opp til API i Nashville forrige uke, hvor Yeaton har base.
