👏 𝟖𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 👏
#WxmAFC (and #saintsfc) fans are asked to join in a minute's applause for huge #WxmAFC season ticket holder Stephen Parrott, who recently passed away aged 82.
He was a founding member of @CochionLlundain and, pre-takeover, often represented the club at away games on behalf of the board.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

@daftdrift @jayclark0106 @MrJonathanCarr It would end up costing people more look at the prices in the USA
English

@jayclark0106 @MrJonathanCarr Ok…. Im playing devil’s advocate here. Maybe because they’re already paying for the NHS out of their monthly earnings. why should they be paying out for something that should be covered? If it were privatised that would free up money to pay for private.

BREAKING: UK to mandate solar panels and heat pumps on new homes.
This isn’t a proposal anymore, it’s happening.
The UK is set to introduce new building standards that will require most new homes to be fitted with solar panels and low-carbon heating like heat pumps.
Every new home → generating its own electricity.
Every new home → reducing reliance on gas.
Every new home → built for the future, not the past.
This is a huge shift.
Because while the debate rages on about EVs, net zero, and energy costs…
Policy is quietly moving things forward in the background.
And here’s the reality👇
Retrofitting millions of old homes? Slow, expensive, disruptive.
Building new homes correctly from day one?
Scalable, efficient, inevitable.
Yes, there will be pushback.
Yes, people will talk about upfront costs.
But over time?
• Lower energy bills.
• Less exposure to volatile gas prices.
• Reduced emissions.
• Smarter, self-sufficient homes.
This is how real change happens.
Not overnight.
Not through arguments on Facebook.
But through decisions like this, baked into the system.

English

@RealBristolBoy @trjbqgznx5 @JordanEVGuy Most of the cost of solar and heat pumps is the installation of the systems not the systems themselves the Extra cost will be small if they are built in from tho off and pay back time will be quicker
English

@trjbqgznx5 @JordanEVGuy However the builders will include the costs plus a % mark up for profit so it is inflationary if that's the case
English

@bolyki01 @OctopusEnergy @JordanEVGuy It says fixed rates vary depending on the time you signed up not that it changes once you have signed up
English

Hey @OctopusEnergy.
Why are some customers getting 3.49p night rate and some are getting 5.2p?
Great to see rates coming down across the board, but lots of confusion.

@TheMoonCarl Please report this tweet to community notes this post could lead to people delaying clinically proven cancer treatments and dieing as a result

"I'm very sorry for every single person who died of cancer."
If that's true, then consider this carefully:
Cancer patients who abandon proven treatments for unproven ones based on social media posts die at higher rates. That is documented. That is not disputed.
Ivermectin is not a proven cancer cure. It is in early clinical trials. Those trials are public. Nothing is hidden.
The most dangerous four words in this post aren't about big pharma. They're "retweet so cancer patients." Because a cancer patient who reads this and delays or abandons their treatment based on it may not get another chance.
Sorry isn't enough if the information being spread is killing the people you claim to feel sorry for.

A lot of English people on here have completely exaggerated how bad their country is for clout and now you have this level of discourse is my humble opinion.
Daniel@growing_daniel
Fucking crazy that England exists. Crazy that people live like that.
English

@laudandusest @fitzr1122 I think we found one of the people op was talking about
English

@fitzr1122 Yeah so brown people rape children to death and butcher their corpses into kebab meat to be sold on the street and the government is aggressively focused on both covering this up and also imprisoning anyone who speaks out against this because they worship these brown people.
English

@fitzr1122 The english government literally covered up mass rapes of little girls by muslims because they didnt want to be racist...
It literally doesnt get worse than that.

@granviledufleur @bbcquestiontime He said NATO troops not europeen that includes UK troops
English

Right, Trump wasn’t talking about the British troops at all. At no point does he say British troops. He was talking about European countries.
Trump does not consider the UK as European as he conflates EU with mainland Europe, like many people.
And he is 100% correct, Afghanistan was broadly a US/UK conflict with European countries not on the frontline.
You need to seek help and get your TDS under control.
English

“How dare he say we weren’t on the frontline, how dare he?”
Labour’s Emily Thornberry says Donald Trump’s claim European soldiers in Afghanistan avoided the frontlines was an “absolute insult”, and is “proud” the UK helped stand up to him over Greenland
