This “war” that was supposed to last a couple of days is now in its 2nd month. Oil infrastructure has been destroyed that will take years to rebuild, and the President is threatening genocide (he probably doesn’t mean it, but he is looking increasingly desperate, so who knows). It’s not fine.
English

@catholicbob @GrahamAllen Sometimes y’all are like toddlers. You can’t wait for anything you just react. Chill out. It’s not going to be a nuclear war. And I think that things are going to work out just fine.

@GrahamAllen For 10 years, Donald Trump has shown us “the art of the deal“. He uses bluster and bluffing and arrogance… And he wins. Goodness gracious all these people want to do is complain because they hate him.
English

@GrahamAllen To be fair, a lot of his supporters act like they hope he does mean it. That said, if he doesn’t mean it, what’s the point. Iran clearly isn’t intimidated, so who is the audience?
English

@baseballcrank I don’t think we should bomb Iran or Robert Palmer (God rest his soul) back to the Stone Age.
English

Probably because most of the parents and grandparents of parents with young children are still working. If you’re 25, your parents are likely under 50, and your grandparents under 70. Your grandparents could possibly be retired, but many people are working into their 70s, not always because they want to.
English

Impeachment is more likely.

Alex Jones: “How do we 25th Amendment his ass?”
English

@Pan_Dread @KenGardner11 Unless somewhere behind the paywall, Zelensky threatened genocide on the Russian people, I’m not sure what this is supposed to be a response to.
English

My very high level understanding is that dual use infrastructure is fair game. And given that the regime has basically converted Iran into one great big military base, well, you do the math.

No, Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure Are Not Banned Under International Law nationalreview.com/corner/no-atta…
English

JUST IN: The President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Archbishop Paul Coakley, has issued a statement saying: “The threat of destroying a whole civilization and the intentional targeting of civilian infrastructure cannot be morally justified. … I call on President Trump to step back from the precipice of war and negotiate a just settlement for the sake of peace and before more lives are lost.” usccb.org/news/2026/arch…

English

@oboyle_kathleen @dianemontagna A settlement proposed while pointing a gun at someone’s head can never be called just.
English

@dianemontagna The Iranian Army has already rejected a just settlement proposal.

Submission to Rome is Submission to Christ

needGod.net@needGod_net
“Submit to Rome” is never what God tells us to do. Let’s submit to God’s Word. Read it daily, and live by it.

The path to this latest psychopathic, genocidal declaration was prepared by many years of excuses of the inexcusable by those who should know better; by years of turning a blind eye to objective evil by reframing it as merely a tactic in pursuit of a supposedly greater good.
No one of conscience can go along with this. Indeed, we have a duty to raise our voices against it!
COVID 2020 was the tell of all tells that something was very, very wrong with this man. De facto communism, “vaccines,” the cessation of public worship, endless enslaving debt, lockdowns, etc. He is not what he claimed to be. He is playing a role assigned to him by higher powers. But for the COVID monstrosity as well, even this most antichristic, inexcusable event in world history was provided an endless list of excuses by those who should know better, despite ZERO repentance of any kind from Trump. And that, perhaps, is the very purpose of Trump: to weaponize promises of an elusive political victory for the righteous to draw them into excusing evil, and thereby blinding themselves to it. The wicked are already deceived. The prime target of the diabolical is the righteous, who are destroyed by evil when they justify it.
And now evil is staring us in the face, obvious, explicit, and unflinching. I hope to God it truly is “bluster.” But even if it is, such abuse of the tongue by the world’s most powerful temporal ruler can NEVER be excused or ignored. It is madness, and if you excuse this, there is nothing in principle you cannot excuse. You have become a mouthpiece for evil, willing to abuse your own tongue—by which human beings imitate the very creative act of God—for the sake of an illusory worldly political agenda.
“But for Wales…”
If you had the eyes to see COVID for what it was, none of this surprises you. Indeed, you know that even worse possibilities remain on the horizon.
PRAY AND FAST FOR HIM, and for the fate of the world that rests on his decision.

@RealRobinToupin Jesus was wrong when he said “on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.”? Can God be wrong?
English

@catholicbob The cult known as the Roman Catholic Church was never, at any time in history, the "one".
When Rome started going off the rails in the 300s and finally broke away in the 1500s, it became apostate. Jesus doesn't honor idolatry.
English

Before I became Catholic, if someone had asked me “Is the US a Christian nation?”, I probably would have answered “yes” without reservation. Now that I’ve entered Communion with the Catholic Church my answer would be “The US can’t be a Christian nation unless it submits to the authority of the One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.”

Correct. This, like his other reckless moves, has always been about Trump's preternaturally gargantuan ego and project of finding ways to leave a bigger mark on history than his predecessors. Astounding how many people forgot that pride and vainglory in a leader have consequences
Jonah Goldberg@JonahDispatch
I just think it’s amazing that there are still people who think Trump was strong armed into this war. People dragged into a war against their will don’t get all jazzed about threatening to destroy a civilization.
English

@tinfoilbaddie It’s reasonable to be shocked that a US president would threaten genocide, even if you don’t believe he will follow through it.
English

@travisakers @RedPillXR I think the 25th amendment would be necessary to have any hope of preserving the current “Pax America” that we benefit from. It would show we are capable of being serious.
English

I choose my words intentionally. I detest hyperbole. And I believe I am a reasonable voice who presents facts in a measured, responsible, and level-headed manner.
To say what I am about to say weighs heavily and is not said lightly or with partisan bias.
It is time for the 25th Amendment to be exercised and Donald Trump removed from office.
He is destroying our country and has destabilized the entire world. His actions are reckless and are directly endangering the lives, prosperity, and security of Americans. This cannot continue and is unsustainable in the current global environment.
In addition to his erratic behavior, I believe he is suffering from dementia and is unable to carry out the Constitutional duties required of the President of the United States of America.
I call upon Congress and the President’s cabinet to stop this madness now, before it is too late.
