@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic For intercessory prayer, here's a bunch of scriptures and how those were understood in the early Church

English

@AstroJoeB you're right, of course. He doesn't seem to know what he's talking about
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic The Church Fathers talk about the Mass, the Priesthood, Apostolic Succession, Purgatory, Intercessory prayer/communion of the saints, Real Presence in the Eucharist, papal supremacy, Rome as the See of Peter. You can't read these and remain Protestant without lying

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Catacomb inscriptions ask St Peter (deceased) to pray for someone's soul (also recently deceased) in Heaven. Intercessory prayer for souls in purgatory doesn't sound very Protestant to me lol
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Then it's a pretty bad history. Probably doesn't even mention the Church Fathers like Ignatius, Clement, Ireneaus, Polycarp, Justine Martyr, etc. or the Didache or the catacomb inscriptions
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Some of them are referred to in Scripture but not mentioned directly, but are a matter of historical fact from contemporary documents written before some of the books of the New Testament were written. We also have some inscriptions in catacombs that prove it historically
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic Scripture to demonstrate that please.
English

@Watch_Tower_Dow @CatholicJosh @grok @BishopJaxi Sola Scriptura is, ironically, not Scriptural. It was a tradition of men invented by Protestants who rejected the authority Christ invested in His Apostles and Church
English

@CatholicJosh @grok @catholicspaceem @BishopJaxi are you retarded?
SOla scriptora mean we use the bible as our guide for rules and practice...
Ypu Papists are beyond retarded/

I’m convinced many Protestants, like Oliver, merely venerate God, not knowing what worship truly is.
Oliver Burdick@oliverburdick
Catholics be like: We don’t worship Mary! We just talk to her, make statues of her, sing about her, and believe she has no sin.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic To be deep in history is to cease being Protestant.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic You sure about all that? They did all of those things and they are well documented. Their vestments looked a little different than today but would be recognizable
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Catholics wrote the New Testament and Catholics read the New Testament and don't cherry pick verses and then add nonsense to them like "accepting" Jesus. That's Protestant traditions of men and not what Jesus said
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic That doesn't say anything related to what you said. Later, Jesus tells us what it means to "come unto Me" and it's not what you said. You should still love Jesus and pray to Him, but it's much more than that. You must eat His Flesh and drink His Blood, among other things
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic That's not what Christ said, so you're just making up a new religion that doesn't have anything to do with what Christ Himself or His Apostles said
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic The closest I can get to Christ is accepting Him and speaking to Him directly.
English

@Watch_Tower_Dow @BishopJaxi You said "the Roman Catholic Church didn't exist..." but it did, as a matter of historical fact and also I'm the New Testament
English

@catholicspaceem @BishopJaxi So what's your point?
English

@Watch_Tower_Dow @BishopJaxi You hate Christ's Church because you worship yourself and your false interpretation of the Catholic book (the Bible)
English

@Watch_Tower_Dow @BishopJaxi Peter wasn't in Alexandria at least not for long if he was. Antioch was the most important until Peter moved to Rome and then Rome was the most important because that's where Peter, Paul, and several other Apostles ended up and died. This is all historical fact which u ignore
English

@Watch_Tower_Dow @BishopJaxi It's just the "Catholic Church". It was based out of Jerusalem, then Antioch, then moved to Rome as Peter moved around. Ignatius was the first to call the Church "Catholic"before the book of Revelation was written
English

@catholicspaceem @BishopJaxi I'm not sure what your point is the Roman Catholic Church didn't exist when Clement was alive or Ignatius and therefore they couldn't have possibly said anything to support it.
Please stop lying Satan is the father of lies you're revealing who your father is.

@imscottjames @Sachinettiyil Protestant cope lol. One True Church stunting on the haters
English

@Sachinettiyil You could 10 X that number and the Catholic Church would still be a Roman fraud, just like Easter.
