@Stand4Unborn @MementoMori_JMJ @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic And of that subgroup, do any of them subjectively think that they are saved?
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic This volume set of church history caused me to own my own faith and know why I am not a Roman Catholic.

English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic To be deep in history is to cease being Protestant.
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic Scripture to demonstrate that please.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic You sure about all that? They did all of those things and they are well documented. Their vestments looked a little different than today but would be recognizable
English

@zabuzacynical @ArchangeloRom @ATradCatholic I disagree. John’s baptism or repentance was immersion.
The Greek would have been different if it wasn’t.
Sprinkling is not baptizo. It’s rhantizo.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ArchangeloRom @ATradCatholic I don’t want to be a broken record here but we’ve established the way of how one should be baptised is not in the Bible. Using your logic, Paul was incorrect when he said Israelites were baptised under Moses
English

@Stand4Unborn @MementoMori_JMJ @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic Are there any of those in our churches today who are professing Christians?
English

@Mtnhiker55 @ServantSavio @ATradCatholic The 12 were commissioned to be the foundation of the church. Where in scripture did Jesus say that the apostles were to continue to appoint apostles?
English

Wasn’t He talking to His Apostles?
They passed the faith and ordained priests.
Apostolic succession is important.
These days anyone that thinks they have a calling starts a church. We just had a new one open up in town. The Connect Church with a logo of 2 electrical plugs facing each other. What?
English

@danveteran1990 @garrettham_esq @Jessy8a10 @ATradCatholic I’m still learning so it’s making me better. Thank you.
English

@Stand4Unborn @garrettham_esq @Jessy8a10 @ATradCatholic Are we still doing this? lol. Dude, glad you have faith.
English

@desertnuns @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic Positional (Definitive) Sanctification is a 1-time event. Progressive Sanctification is the ongoing lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus in character and behavior. Final (Perfective) Sanctification is the completion of the process, often called glorification.
English

@Stand4Unborn @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic Sanctification is a lifelong process. Salvation comes through baptism, but for most of us mere mortals, we sin after baptism. Catholics reject 'once saved, always saved' as thoroughly unbiblical, so repentance of specific sins is necessary.
English

@davidwbalch @MementoMori_JMJ @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic Lost sinners. Those who proclaimed Jesus, but never know Him just like the Judaizers.
English

@Stand4Unborn @MementoMori_JMJ @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic Who is at risk of hearing the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21 to 23?
English

what is this fallacy called? when a system that is based on an absolute premise, and when it doesn’t yield the expected result, it’s then said “oh you’re doing it wrong”
i see this everywhere, not just theology
i dont want to say it’s cultish but it’s definitely adjacent to it
Stand For Life@Stand4Unborn
@MementoMori_JMJ @garrettham_esq @ATradCatholic A true believer in Christ never walks away from their commitment to the Lord. How can you lose your salvation while following Him? Being saved radically changes your life because the Holy Spirit now dwells within you.
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic Sorry but the apostles were not Catholics. They did not pray to Mary, confess to a priest, pay indulgences for lover ones, or wear priestly robes.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Catholics wrote the New Testament and Catholics read the New Testament and don't cherry pick verses and then add nonsense to them like "accepting" Jesus. That's Protestant traditions of men and not what Jesus said
English

@bctwentytwenty @ATradCatholic A Christian will follow Jesus.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Did Jesus say "Give up everything and follow me" or did he say "Say the magic words and you're good"?
English

@garrettham_esq @ProBono28 @StuReciprocity @ATradCatholic It’s true.
John 2:19 states, "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us".
English

@zabuzacynical @ArchangeloRom @ATradCatholic The primary Koine Greek word for "to pour" is cheō. For a poured-out drink offering or libation, the term spendō. ekcheō. indicates pouring out, often used for shedding blood or pouring out the Spirit.
None of these are baptizo as used in the NT.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ArchangeloRom @ATradCatholic They are literally in water. That’s the definition of surrounded by water😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
English

@garrettham_esq @Jessy8a10 @danveteran1990 @ATradCatholic 2 Timothy 3:16 states, "All Scripture is breathed out by God" (theopneustos), indicating the content originated from Him.
The Bible states that human authors were "carried along by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:21).
English

@ServantSavio @ATradCatholic I’m not confusing them:
Matthew 28:19-20: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have COMMANDED you.”
Failure to spread the gospel is a sin.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic You’re confusing the great commission with the two greatest commandments.
They are called the greatest for a reason.
English

@catholicspaceem @ATradCatholic Lies!
Mathew 11:28-30
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic That's not what Christ said, so you're just making up a new religion that doesn't have anything to do with what Christ Himself or His Apostles said
English

@bctwentytwenty @ATradCatholic It outs its weight on teachings not found in the Holy Bible or said by Jesus.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Yeah that's because it's a different belief system that doesn't put as much weight on the magic words
English

@darkhearts224 @ATradCatholic I have tried. None of them can answer my questions. The people on X have 90% more knowledge of their faith than those off X.
English

@Stand4Unborn @ATradCatholic Because you’ve never been to mass, or actually spoke to a Catholic about it. We don’t need to say it on the internet
