Selini update. Its 48 hours since Selini was picked up from a vets in Leeds following being a very not looked after stray. Selini now has a plan of care and she is showing signs of improvement already. Selini is on strong antibiotics for her mouth and eye, pain relief and drops. Until Selini is feeling better Sherston intravenous fluid therapy. Selini is being looked after by TEAM24 at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary.

There’s no help for him. 😭

Today my wonderful, beloved, handsome cat Poppy was diagnosed with a horrible malignant pharyngeal cancer. There is no need telling you about my deep pain and devastation. At the same time, today a new free animal care clinic opens in Syria. Today, more than ever, I understand the sacredness of our mission in Syria. Without this clinic, thousands of animals will lose their lives, some very painfully, due to a lack of care, medicine, and good veterinarians. However, with this clinic, a ray of light exists. Today, I realized that even in our countries in Europe, with all the benefits and well-being we have, a cat's illness can seriously compromise a family's economy. We make sacrifices, cancel holidays, and give up useless things because our beloved cat comes first. In Syria, many times they have nothing to give up. Having created a chance for their animals to be cared for is a miracle. Thanks to everyone who supported and donated for the realization, to our partner WTG who finance the clinic, we are all grateful and moved by our free veterinary clinic for animals in Syria. Its exactly 1 week since Dandelion was rescued from the very place that should have been looking after him! Last Friday Carrots donated blood and literally saved Dandelions life. Whilst progress is slow, every day Dandelion is showing signs of improvement by putting a little weight on each day. Dandelion has also been having blood tests every 48 hours and today there is a slight increase in his red blood cells.... which can only be positive. Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far towards Dandelions relentless care and treatment.

Today is 31 July, the end of the month, and our situation has never been so bleak. I’ve been having terrible stomach problems; sadly, my nerves and anxiety are wreaking havoc on my gut. Today I’m supposed to pay the carer, I’m also supposed to pay the rent for the shelter, and I’m supposed to buy the special diet – although we don’t have a fridge to store it in either, as it’s broken – and I’m supposed to order food, but we’ve got no credit; the animals haven’t eaten anything today. Five bags of dog food (56$) each, three bags of cat food (70$) each. A huge accumulated debt of $2,800 for food, which we haven’t been able to buy for a long time, plus veterinary bills for saving lives. Very few people are helping! If you’re reading this today, with my heart in my hand, my stomach in knots and tears in my eyes, I’m asking you to help me – above all, so that they can eat.
