1. O número de feminicídios aumentou, mas o número de homicídios de mulheres está caindo.
Dia desses, um crackudo no Amapá matou uma moça para pegar o celular dela e o delegado indiciou o noia por feminicídio. Por quê? Porque a pena de feminicídio é maior. Eventualmente, todo homicídio contra mulher vai virar feminicídio porque esse parece ser o único jeito de manter assassino na cadeia.
2. Morrem 10x mais homens que mulheres no Brasil. Noticiar casos de homens sendo mortos é apenas respeitar a proporção dos fatos.
3. E, agora, a coisa que ninguém parece saber: morrem mais homens por violência doméstica do que mulheres.
Sim, a maioria das mulheres que é assassinada é assassinada num contexto de violência doméstica. Ainda assim, em números absolutos, mais homens são assassinados por suas companheiras do que o contrário.
Você nunca vai achar esse número fácil porque ele simplesmente quebra todas as narrativas, mas você mesmo pode calcular a partir do trabalho da insuspeita Leila Garcia, do Ipea, um órgão do governo federal, e que fez sua carreira estudando feminicídios.
Pois bem. Ela nos diz que, em média, 6% dos homicídios contra homens são causados pela esposa/namorada destes. A proporção é de 40% para mulheres.
Agora, façam as contas.
De acordo com o último Atlas da Violência, morreram 45.747 pessoas no Brasil em 2023.
Destas, 3.903 foram mulheres (detalhe: não há informação sobre o número de homens fácil, você tem que subtrair, é uma besteira, mas reveladora). Ou seja, 41.844 homens foram assassinados.
Agora, façamos as contas usando as estimativas (e dado que a maioria dos homicídios não é elucidada, as estimativas são o melhor que temos) da pesquisadora;
- 40% de 3903: 1561
- 6% de 41.184: 2510
Números são números. Briguem com eles.

@avidseries Where's this correction from? The law being discussed in Brazil (not approved yet!, but it passed the Senate) doesn't have these restrictions; it includes poorly defined "misoginy" in a previous poorly defined law against "racism". Nobody _can_ know how it will be applied.

As a former progressive, this is absolutely accurate and caused me endless frustration with my co-partisans. They fundamentally don’t care if their ideas work. They hardly even have a concept of ideas working. Their entire evaluation function is based on social perception and emotionalism which is, in fact, profoundly selfish and unvirtuous. If you care more about feeling like/being seen as good than you do about results, you’re a selfish parasite. Hardly exclusive to the left, but it defines the leftist project in a way it doesn’t define any other political faction.

Seed oils: Are they even correlated with bad health? I assembled ALL of the available NHANES data and linked as much as possible of it to the National Death Index and found that... It's not. Seed oils aren't even correlated with problems.

The Iron Law: "The expected value of any net impact assessment of any large-scale social program is zero."
The Stainless Steel Law: "The better designed the impact assessment of a social program, the more likely is the resulting estimate of net impact to be zero."
This is from an expert who desperately wanted the conclusion to be the opposite.
But the impact is never zero. It's always, actually negative. Because the money taken from taxpayers at gunpoint and spent on these programs is wasted. The effect is value destruction.
