We need to seriously introspect. Each time I travel (and I do travel often), the majority of passengers flying into Zimbabwe via RG International Airport in Harare are invariably from the Far East (precisely, China). And I also notice that a huge number of our young professionals are making a bee line ; frantically making arrangements to go & work (and probably permanently settle) in foreign countries, particularly South Africa, Botswana, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia & New Zealand. I often wonder why is it that as hoards of our young professionals are streaming out of Zimbabwe, we also have hoards of people from the Far East coming into Zimbabwe to do business 🤔. This puzzles & even confuses me most of the time. Aren't our young professionals seeing the same business & job opportunities that are attracting people from the Far East to come to Zimbabwe? What the hell is going on here?
