@DaileySuzanne I was nervous, being new to Twitter but it was easy to navigate after the first chat. I felt I had to be thoughtful about my responses because of the limited characters and this made me really focus on what was most important to me in each article.
THANK YOU, awesomeizers! We covered (and uncovered!) so much together these past few weeks. How do you feel about Twitter chats as a form of PD? Please leave feedback in the comments so #cbsdpd can meet your needs in the future! Enjoy these last sweet weeks of summer!
@DaileySuzanne A5: Teacher is a way of life not a job or title. So so so true- Our impact will affect the future - that’s not a job or title that is life altering! #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A4: Being an awesomizer!!! Keeping a positive attitude, treating others with utmost respect, being proud of my students and where I work! #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A5- Principle 4, we may not get to decide which kids we serve but we do decide the climate in which we serve them. I am going to be a Merchant of Hope for my Reading Room Kids. #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A4: There are so many children who haven’t yet found a way to feel like they can freely express themselves, who haven’t found their voice or the confidence to share it. Art is just that for so many kids. I get to help them discover that. #CBSDPD
@DaileySuzanne A3: I think remaining focused on the task at-hand and solutions can help to find the “fit” during the day. Focusing on problems doesn’t take the best advantage of a team’s limited time together. #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A3 - something our team does already is walk down together to get our first students. We have a laugh, talk about the morning. It keeps us connected! #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A2 - 1-Teach kids not content-Our Ss must come first. Not tests. Not paperwork. Those results will follow if we prioritize Ss above all. #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A2 - instill a sense of self-confidence in all students and focus on what kids are doing, not what they aren’t doing. Be an AWESOMIZER! #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A1 - Mrs. Vollman is THE most positive leader. In every stressful situation, she finds the positive side and expresses it loudly to further suppress any negatives. Love her 24/7 positivity! It really is contagious. #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A5: I often ask my first graders why we come to school: To Learn! We HAVE to come to school because it's the rules. However we GET to have fun because we are kind, caring, respectful and hard-working. The more we work together the more fun we GET to have. #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A5 - as an IA, my students do feel they HAVE to be in my classroom, but I want them to feel like they GET to be with me. Teachers who are the ones who kids want to GET are innovative, creative and are invested in their school. Parents and kids see that, they want that! #cbsdpd
@DaileySuzanne A4 #cbsdpd
Empowerment-As a RS,students sometimes feel that they can not be as successful in the classroom as they are with me in a one-on-one environment. I want to be able to explicable show students that what they learn with me is now their tool to use in all environments.
