In NC we not only pay Property Tax on our homes, but on our CARS.
Food as well, ANYTHING in NC that you purchase you pay tax on. I live in a private community, I have to pay City tax. The only time I see a police car patroling is if there is a fire truck ahead of it.

Non-profit group Starts With One Today says dogs are being abused, thrown away, sold for drugs, neglected, and fed drugs to make sure there is no fentanyl.
Animal advocates are ripping Mayor Karen Bass and other elected officials for not taking enough action.
