@HenryLouis21 This is mental gymnastics. You rarely see him behave that way in decent Superman stories and it’s laughable to think he doesn’t at least consider the repercussions of his actions. He does this all the time. He’s one of the most thoughtful characters in comics

He resisted the pull of a black hole, defeated his own clone, and was able to fight a whole horde of Raptors without killing any one of them. But I don't expect the moron who fundementally misunderstands Superman to get that.

@HenryLouis21 Superman doesn’t blow his gasket after being asked reasonable questions. He’s had to hone his self control that his entire life. He’s also not an idiot who rushes into geopolitics without considering anything. These are radical departures from key character traits.

Snyder ruined Superman by making everything realistic, dark and serious. An evil god like Injustice. James Gunn gave him more emotions, more personality and more dialogue to become a friend, a human, a hero, a symbol of hope who inspires humanity without being ashamed of that.

You can see a creative process with passionate people AND you can see Corenswet understood Superman more than Gunn. He was overruled, a decision among many that explains where the DCU is today. Also, calling 99% of people here socially inept isn't very "punk rock" of you 😔

@RealAtlasX Yeah Gunn’s Superman is intellectually stunted and emotionally unstable. Pretty much the exact opposite of most good depictions of the character, but hey at least he saves squirrels

Why is Superman yelling out his emotions to a man who has already shown he's beyond reason?
Lex had just executed an innocent person in front of him
It feels less like Superman and more like a forced attempt to manufacture an "epic" emotional climax.

I just saw SUPERGIRL, and I have no idea what people were so unhappy with. Is it a top five comic movie? No. But it’s better than the Venom movies, the Marvels, Aquaman, the dumb Falcon movie, and lots of other movies that made plenty of money.

@loveiceprincesz I agree on color grading and some elements of characterization (Gunn also flopped in areas) but the fight choreography, cinematography, and special effects it’s no contest. It’s ok to admit Snyder has strengths
