We’ll call the next release Bun v1.4. There’s already far more than enough new things since Bun v1.3.1 to justify the version bump, and the slightly more opt-in upgrade of a minor bump seems better.

@SumitM_X I'd say: Who appointed you as TL? Lol But being serious though, status 200 means the request was successful, if there's an error we should respond with either 4xx when it's a client error or 5xx when it's an error from the server

Tech Lead tells you to "Just return 200 OK and put the error in the response body. Easier for frontend." What's your reply ?

Your "microservices architecture" is just a distributed monolith with extra steps and 10x the operational overhead. You turned one debuggable system into 47 black boxes that fail in creative new ways.

@brankopetric00 Our case is similar, I told the "architect" and his answer was "I don't mind spending a bit more" 🤦🏻 it's easy to spend money when it's not yours. At the end I couldn't do anything because I don't have permission to modify infra so here we are spending more than we should/need

Analyzed our EC2 instances and found most were running at 15-20% CPU. We were using m5.2xlarge (8 vCPU) for workloads that needed m5.large (2 vCPU). Right-sized 40 instances: - Cost dropped from $4,600/month to $1,150/month - Saved $3,450/month ($41,400/year) - Performance impact: zero - Time to implement: 2 hours Used CloudWatch metrics for 30 days to confirm sizing. Best ROI we've ever had. Most instances are over-provisioned by default. Measure first, then resize.
