the new victoria's secret angels have been getting some hate, but i actually like the direction this is headed...
while i don't stand for the body positivity movement, a healthy BF % for women is anywhere from 15%-25%...
women need a lower belly fat bump to protect their ovaries
while the old angels are indeed gorgeous, for women it is indeed an unhealthy standard to strive for
this isn't to say you should gain fat just because it's "accepted", but that you should track your bloodwork, cycle, your hormones, mood, energy levels and be comfortable with whatever body fat % produces the best outcome

It took me 6 months to get my period back after getting off birth control. Turns out the issue was related to under-eating and over-exercising. Once I started eating more and stopped exercising and gained 7-10 lbs, I got it back.

@PeterAttiaMD So if I’m trying to build cardiovascular health and I have time to commit 30 min of exercise per day, should I focus on zone 2 (roughly 60-70% MHR- I understand measuring lactic acid is more accurate but I don’t have access) or a higher heart rate of 80-90% MHR?
