MY "WHY"

ATTENTION MONTGOMERY COUNTY YOUTH AGES 18-24. Now is a great time to launch a career in bedside nursing. This is a wonderful opportunity for new high school graduates, college students home for the summer, and unemployed or underemployed young adults. @worksourcemd

I started school in January 2009 shortly after inauguration day. Trust and believe there are a lot of us. African American women dominate in higher education thanks to her. Thank you Michelle Obama.

Back in 2017 I was an advisory board member of a medical center. Initially I felt that I had nothing to contribute compared to the other members. I was wrong, I donated gift baskets to the medical center to raffle off for patients as an incentive to improve kept appointments

Celeebrate Us Workforce Training is dedicating the month of June to "MEN" Tomorrow I will be a part of a team conducting mock interviews at the Dorsey Run Correctional Facility for men.

Congratulations on 9 years of sobriety to Erica! 🎉 “Yesterday I turned 48 years old and celebrated 9 years of sobriety. When I walked into detox on my 39th birthday, I didn’t believe this was possible. I never would’ve thought I’d be standing by a pool, acting all goofy, holding oversized balloons, celebrating my freedom from alcohol. Addiction made me believe the life I was living was a good as it was going get. I made my bed and I was going to have to lay in it forever. What a crock of crap. I will never come on here and say it’s been easy. It has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but as cliché as it sounds, it has been worth it. This isn’t just a birthday. It’s a rebirth. It may sound corny and some people don’t get it, but IDGAF. The day I chose to give sobriety an honest and real chance is the day I decided I didn’t want to die. I will always be a little extra because I was given an extra chance at life. Birthdays used to remind me of loss, pain and abandonment. Now they fill me with hope and happiness. I will always show the world #recoveryispossible if you want it, work for it and never give up on it.”
