Nor is an photoshopped/AI-generated image of the journalist in military attire. It also does not answer the central question: why were three journalists killed? If one individual is now being cited after the fact, what is the explanation for the other two? Under international law, journalists are protected civilians. Any claim that they were lawful targets requires credible, verifiable evidence. I have repeatedly sought that evidence across cases in Lebanon and Gaza. The response has been the same: no evidence, no meaningful answer, and often silence. Silence is not accountability. It does not answer why journalists are being killed by the Israeli military.
