@siamesebhoy I think some fans have lost all perspective. Fans and shareholders have a right to hold expectations of those running Celtic and a right to challenge when they expectations are not met. But the current campaigns are foolish, ugly, and self centered. This is not a collective.

@p____67 The collective got the AGM antics wrong, but they could bring the majority of fans back on side with a consensus of a vision. Rather than everyone needs to be sacked, and seeing the conspiracy in everything, what is the future we want aa a collective, how can we support this?

There’s a worrying amount of fans against the Celtic Collective btw. Imagine being that weird. If you’re licking the boots of this Celtic board you genuinely need help.

@20MinuteTims I just don't think the fan media is quite on par with the majority of fans who see this more nuanced but any view not extreme is not allowed

@CFC_Collective Hopefully ordinary fans not represented by the fan clubs and podcasters in the collective can also have a chance to give opinion and ask difficult questions of the board in the future.

@hamishcarton What I'm confused by is the double standards. Fans should be allowed to boo and swear at the board in an AGM but they are not allowed to respond? The board should just apologise and let the celtic collective run the club?

Tried to sum up my thoughts after yesterday’s shambles, mainly on the words from Dermot/Ross Desmond. More excuses, why this isn’t just a Green Brigade vs club issue and some chat ahead of tonight’s game too. ⬇️ youtu.be/FbWp1b-cpsY?si…

@jhnmcgnly Probably the most division that comes out of today will be amongst supporters. An embarrassing performance that prevented questions being asked of the board. Stand outside and wave your red cards but AGMs are about holding to account with questions and votes.

@HarleyP86366 @AgentScotland I personally think clubs will more likely think twice about recruiting Rodgers (he has form here remember) than manager being put off joining celtic.

The very fact John Kennedy walked with Rodgers should be enough to tell you everything. Neither Rodgers or Desmond are believable, but Kennedy has always acted in the clubs best interests, and it cost him two massive chances to coach & earn at a completely different level.

@CelticGossip Just to add, in March last year I wrote a letter individually to CEO, Chairman and Major Shareholder asking for an opportunity to work with Celtic to develop a strategy for 2030. I outlined the key areas over 2 pages. I never had a reply or even an acknowledgement.

We need a manifesto for change. We all love our club and must support the Bhoys on the park. However, change is badly needed & some ideas are: 1 Cancel HCTS 2 Buy nothing inside at the games 3 Buy no official merchandise 4 Avoid paradise windfall Show Dermot the red card HH

@AgentScotland Clearly the board have lost faith in Rodgers and are saving for next manager, but not qualifying for Champions League will backfire on them

@scotlandscoeff1 Really well written and researched. My theory has long been that Celtic give their managers a total budget for entirety of their contract or a 2-3 year period. The managers then asks for more after spending the majority in their first year.

@celt79 @ChicagoCelticSC I’ve got both Paramount + and Celtic TV. Celtic TV going to be the most reliable to see all the games. Paramount + is on and off with games. Great for champions league games though. With the new format it’s brilliant getting to see all the games

Scotland’s Coefficient

A gut punch for Celtic fans - they were on the brink of taking Bayern to extra time, and they deserved at least that. Everyone knew it was a massive challenge, but in true Scottish fashion, they fell at the final hurdle. Celtic have still never won in Germany, while Bayern remain undefeated at home against Scottish teams, boasting a now 15-match unbeaten run against Scots since their 1-0 Tynecastle loss in 1989. It’ll now be at least 22 years since Celtic last won a European knockout tie after Christmas. Sigh. On the bright side, Scotland’s Coefficient gained 0.2 points - which was unexpected before kick off tonight. However, to secure 12th place, we now rely on pretty much all teams from the surrounding countries being eliminated this week - and then Rangers mounting a deep Europa League run on their own.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇩🇪 CELTIC'S DAUNTING TASK 🇩🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (2 mins reading time) 🍀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Celtic face a huge task as they aim to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit and reach the Champions League last 16 for the first time since 2013. It's live from the Allianz Arena on AMAZON PRIME, with an 8pm kick off. _____ History is against Celtic: ❌ Celtic haven’t overturned a first-leg defeat in Europe (excluding qualifiers) since 1992, when they lost 2-0 away to Köln 🇩🇪 only to then win 3-0 at Celtic Park. Since then, they’ve been eliminated in all nine knockout ties after losing the first leg. 1⃣ They have never progressed from a major knockout tie after losing the first leg at home (0/7). The only time they managed it in qualifiers was in 2009; Samaras' injury time winner saw Tony Mowbray's men beat Dynamo Moscow 🇷🇺 2-0 away after a 1-0 home defeat... 🇩🇪 Celtic have never won a European match in Germany after 15 attempts, with 3 draws and 12 losses - including the visit to Dortmund earlier in the season. 🇯🇵 Celtic will be reliant on the superhuman efforts of man of the moment Daizen Maeda, after he started on the bench at the weekend to give him a rare rest. He completed the most sprints in the competition last week (53) and he's consistently been in the top 2 every matchday... 4⃣ With four Champions League goals this season - the most by a Celtic player since Joe Craig in 1977 - Maeda could join club legends Stevie Chalmers, Willie Wallace, and Lou Macari on five goals in a single European Cup campaign. _____ Bayern Munich's imposing record: ✅ Since 2011, the Bavarians have progressed in 13/13 ties after winning the first leg. The last time they failed was in the 2011 UCL last 16 against Inter 🇮🇹; winning 1-0 in Italy before losing 3-2 at home. ❌ Bayern have never lost at home to a Scottish club and are unbeaten in their last 20 Champions League home games (since a 3-2 loss to PSG in 2021). 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Bayern are unbeaten in 14 matches against Scottish sides, dating back to 1989. Their only three defeats to Scottish teams have all come in Scotland: 🔵 1972: 2-0 vs Rangers (Ibrox) 🔴 1983: 3-2 vs Aberdeen (Pittodrie) 💜 1989: 1-0 vs Hearts (Tynecastle) 🤕 Bayern could be without Harry Kane, who has 15 Champions League goals for the club, after suffering a facial injury in the weekend draw at Leverkusen. _____ Scotland’s Coefficient: 🧮 0.4 points on offer for a win, 0.2 for a draw (points awarded after 120 minutes if extra time is played; penalties don’t count). 🆙 Reaching the last 16 would earn an additional 0.3 bonus points; if Celtic did earn 0.7 points tonight we'd be only 0.1 behind Austria in 13th. 👏 We want everyone else in bold to lose and be eliminated this week, to give us an outside chance of reaching 12th.... 💰 Celtic have already secured €46m in UEFA prize money this season. Progressing past Bayern would add another €11m. A quarter-final spot (via a win over Atlético Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen) would be worth a further €12.5m... 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Good luck, Celtic! They’ll need plenty of it to make Friday’s draw at 11am...
