I had the privilege of attending the freedom right of entry of the city of Liverpool for HMS Prince of Wales Fleet Flagship yesterday at Liverpool Parish Church - great to catch up with old friends.

Running the Liverpool Santa Dash today for Merseyside Army Cadets Charitable Trust - Aim is to pay for 50 cadets to have a free subscription to the DofE scheme. If you would like to help email Andy Downey nw-mer-ceo@rfca.org.uk.

Tomorrow we will announce the 2024 awardees of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, The highest award for voluntary groups in the country. Sir Martyn Lewis CBE, Chair of the award, expresses the unique value volunteers bring to their communities. #KAVS2024

540 members of Merseyside Army Cadet Force on parade today in 14 different locations. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Well done to all.

Great to see so many old and new friends last night at the North West RFCA’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards and Presidents Dinner at the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool were Defence recognised and thanked 25 North West businesses for their commitment to the Armed Forces Community & our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers across all services.

Lunch with two legends who served the Reserve Forces and Army Cadet Forces for a century between them and still today reach out in the community to represent both organisations. Thank you for your service. Photo bombed by Johnny Cunningham 😂

Great to see Army Cadets Music-choosing Altcar Training Camp ( NW RFCA Jewel in the crown) for their Autumn Music Camp. Final parade yesterday was a fitting farewell to their Commandant Colonel Mike Neville on completion of his tenure of 5 years in post. Merseyside ACF wish him well for the future.

Merseyside Army Cadets this weekend on parade at the Athenaeum for the ABF Centurions of Merseyside Annual Dinner and at the Anglican Cathedral for the beginning of the legal year service. Excellent turnout and bearing, confidence, discipline and attitude was faultless. Well done.
