NEWS: Georgetown redshirt freshman Jayden Fort is entering the transfer portal, he tells @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-9 forward redshirted his first year at Georgetown before playing in 2025-26. Native of Washington, DC. He averaged 3.3PPG and 3.2RPG this season.

They were too scared to play the 49ers at THEIR OWN STADIUM so they begged the NFL to allow them to play that game in Australia.

NEWS: Furman freshman Alex Wilkins is entering the transfer portal, source told @LeagueRDY.
The 6-foot-5 guard out of Mattapan, Massachusetts played one season at Furman and was named Second Team All-SoCon as a freshman.
He averaged 17.8PPG, 4.7APG and 2.0RPG this season.

Both Kyle Shanahan and Matt LaFleur said on the NBC Sports podcast that the Rams requested that the NFL send the 49ers to Australia with them...
LaFleur: “I’m pretty sure the Rams lobbied [for the 49ers to be their Australia opponent]."
Shanahan: “I know for a fact they did. That’s why it’s so bothersome.”
Chris Simms: “So you think the Rams have lobbied because they’re sick of seeing the 49ers dominate the crowd at SoFi?
Shanahan: “I get that. That would suck to have to do silent cadence and have our home game at their stadium. So I get their ambitions, but they were rewarded that.”

80 percent of the crowd in Australia will be Niner fans. Might even be 90 percent.
The 49ers are underestimating how much of a home game it's going to be for them, despite them being the "road team."
The travel and time change sucks, but the environment and atmosphere will be heavily in their favor.

The 6-2 guard averaged 13.6 points, 4.1 assists and 3 rebounds per game this past season.
It was Mack's second season with the Hoyas after spending his freshman year at Harvard.
