@longtimeAndy@mega64 Symphony's a Good one. Link to the Past was maybe my favorite of all time though back in the day, that's why it's on my short list
@atrupar When I told this to my son, a 9th grader, he said "Damn, he's stupid". A 9th grader understands math far better than this president and his administration. I'm sorry, but THE MATH DOES NOT MATH.
RFK Jr: "A Democratic senator claimed it's mathematically impossible to have a drug drop by 600%. I said, 'Well, if the drug was $100 and it raises to $600, that would be a 600% rise. If it drops from $600 to $100, that's a 600% savings.'"
Trump: "Right"
@drunkontacos@RetroGameCorps My customer service experiences with them have all been great. I can't speak for everyone, but I think they do a good job considering they're halfway around the world from me and there's a language barrier.
Some updates from AYN:
- Future Thor/Odin 3 pre-orders will have slower UFS 3.1 storage. This likely won't affect gaming except in some edge cases, but will potentially reduce transfer/download speeds.
- Thor Max 16GB/1TB increased to $549 from $449
- New 16GB/512GB spec ($469)
@allenanalysis Of course they are, cause Netanyahu is a bloodthirsty animal. He ruined it for everyone. And why is Vance making this announcement and not Trump...??
It’s over.
JD Vance just announced that the Iran-US negotiations are dead.
“They have chosen not to accept our terms.”
Both delegations are going home.
No deal. No nuclear commitment. No Lebanon ceasefire. No Strait reopened.
No frozen assets. No reparations.
21 hours of talks. A war that has killed thousands. A ceasefire that Israel bombed through from day one.
A 30-nation coalition is being assembled. Two Navy destroyers are clearing mines right now.
These next few weeks will be pivotal. Eyes peeled.
@Kotaku Not sure how newsworthy this is - but Meta completely screwed up the Oculus software such that the ONLY way to link the PC to Quest 2/3 is to disconnect your PC from the internet. Reddit post here: reddit.com/r/oculus/comme…
@TheTNHoller All legitimate daycare centers have a reception area with staff, even if you have to be buzzed in for dropping off and picking up children you utter flaming retards..
CNN: “Surely you don’t think a daycare should be unlocked.”
SHIRLEY: “There should be a reception area.”
CNN: “No, every day care is locked.”
SHIRLEY: “Fair point.” 🤔
He shows up to a day care with masked men and wonders why they don’t let him in.
I’ve cracked wordle
If you play STAIR, LEMON, then PUDGY you optimize your letter usage among 15 of the most common letters with no repeats
After that, you always have enough information to correctly guess the word on the fourth turn
@Volko323213@SpIinterCal The world map scenes (as well as the map itself) is pretty jank, too -- it feels tacked on and band-aided together to me. That's a minor gripe in the grand scale of the game, though. That's why I think it feels more AA than AAA. But it's still an all-time favorite.
@ThomasWilk_eco@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo I didn't know wasteland 4 was out?? I have the collectors edition of 3 with the big statue. The goal of mine isn't to compare scope -- the goal was determining why you felt E33 didn't qualify as an RPG - and after trying to drag out what makes a game an RPG I'm still not there.
@cgregoryhhs@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo sorry but I would not compare E33 to KCD games, Larian games, OwlCat games, older Bethesda games, etc. it brings back to the point that a better RPG and honestly game (Wasteland 4) not even mentioned.
I want to give a shout out to Sandfall for their role-playing game Clair Obscur 33 sweeping the awards. It's a real testament to their craftsmanship.
It's also exciting that role-playing games continue to have such a magnificent impact on our industry.
@ThomasWilk_eco@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo There are more interactions than fights in E33 for sure. Esquie, Gestrals, the Desendre family, the manor, etc.it is definitely an action-centric game but that doesn't make it less of an rpg. It's certainly not as DEEP as a Larian game, but AA vs AAA, imo.
@cgregoryhhs@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo so the main expectation and interaction is use force. you're not really afforded the autonomy to be your own character if 99% of interactions are fights. hence more of an action adventure game. the coopting of RPG losing meaning. jmtc
@ThomasWilk_eco@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo You're 100% right and I don't plan to. Because my job wasn't to determine what game is NOT an RPG. My goal was to vet a claim that X is an RPG but Y isn't.
The def. of RPG games is varied from place to place, and in every one I looked up, it would be hard to argue E33 isn't one
@ThomasWilk_eco@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo And while the world is largely devoid of characters and cities, that's a large part of the setting and game world, not because it's "not an RPG". There's a difference in scope for sure, but my argument is it doesn't take away its genre of game due to the change in scope.
@ThomasWilk_eco@Psychobaker_24@BrianFargo Oh absolutely. You can see that in beyond divinity and BG3. But you can also see that in certain optional interactions in E33 (the watcher, Simon, etc). Interacting with the lore of the world, removing side characters, etc. to a less significant example but it exists.
