So proud of this girl and grateful for Coach Chad of the Wasatch Water Dragons. My daughter qualified for state today. This was the last qualifying meet, she has been working hard and improving, she earned it. I will always love her.

Love this story on many levels but the trolling by @ogafroman is epic. Many more videos, look 'em up. Adams county PD needs to own the f-up and make things right and/or grow a pair and walk away. But, claiming that their feelings are hurt is 'feeding the trolls'.

NEW: Afroman's music video "Lemon Pound Cake" played in court as "Officer Poundcake" was forced to sit and watch. Adams County Sheriff's deputies are suing Afroman after he released a music video following a botched raid on his home. At one point during the trial, the video was played during Officer Shawn Cooley's testimony. The song was inspired after the officer allegedly glanced down at Afroman's desert during the botched raid on his home. Officers claim that Afroman's songs and social media posts following the raid caused them "mental distress and danger." (ABC6)

Go into HVAC instead. You deal with plenty of electricity but also you can do controls work, which requires a brain. Electricians are generally not the smartest on the job. They’re the first ones on and the last ones off. The IBEW is a shit union, imo. Everyone knows who the stars of the construction site are. It’s the guys who turn on the AC or heat.

1/🧵 This is a long story about how we decide when and how to get involved. Wife Unit got called to be 1st counselor for the teenage girls in our small Mormon congregation. She helps lead, teach, and develop teenage girls, basically. That means I got called to be behind the scenes tech support, muscle, and facilitator of planning and execution for the young women.

@4nt1p4tt3rn @ClaudesBBQ My brother made an off hand comment that i haven't ran the math on: A cybertruck can double as a battery backup and the combo may be more affordable than a dedicated power wall system. As stated i have not run the math but, the double duty should carry some value.

I thought guns were illegal in The Great White North. How could this happen if guns are illegal? Hang on.... I am being told that bad guys don't care about gun laws. That means that Canada has only disarmed the law abiding citizens.

Salt Lake County Jail changes to inmate information: The Sheriff's Office provides two public resources related to booking information: the Inmate Lookup Tool and the Jail Dockets and Rosters. "These tools are made available to promote transparency in jail operations, however, there is no statutory requirement that these booking details be publicly published." Salt Lake County Jail Comms Manager, Chris Bronson told me, "Following the passage and subsequent amendment of the Government Data Privacy Act (GDPA) (Utah Code 63A-19) and passage of Salt Lake County Policy 2022, the County, including the Sheriff's Office, has been reviewing public-facing data systems to ensure compliance with the state law's privacy and data-minimization standards. As part of that process, the Sheriff's Office removed certain personal identifiers from these tools."

Quick question for the GØÄT GÄNG. I’ve been going back and forth on the VÄKÄRIÁN setup. A friend of mine who originally helped me bounce ideas around thinks the current configuration might actually be confusing some people. Right now the VÄK comes with the H-Harness, waist strap, and Velcro wallet, which lets it convert into a chest/recce rig. His argument is that a lot of people may not even use that feature, and the extra pieces could be adding unnecessary complexity. If I separated those components into their own SKU, the base VÄK could probably land around $170–$180, while still including the placard, shoulder pads, and being a fully functional plate carrier out of the box. Then the H-Harness / wallet / fat-strap setup could be offered as an add-on kit. If you bundle it with the VÄK, the price would basically land right around where it is now (~$215 for the full system). On paper it makes some sense. Lower entry price, but the full modular setup is still available. But then the obvious question pops up: If I go that direction… why not just strip everything into individual components like everyone else does? Curious what you all think.

UPDATE: Passenger side reassembled... Almost, need some brake cleaner then I'll get pads and calipers reconnected. Also need some pins for the castle nuts. However everything is torqued to spec and reinstalled. They say the driver side is more difficult, I'll let you know.

@DeseretStone You're going to have to look into work wear and some hunting wear brands. When possible I try to stay away from mainstream outdoor industry gear, @Carhartt, and @firstlitehunt. The politics, actions, and pr from all of them are, in general, at odds with conservative values.
