MLB owners are not going to change behavior (see: Bob Nutting) unless there is a system in place to incentivize/ compel them to do so. Steve Cohen is the one outlier. The rest of the group operates targeting similar margins relative to market size. This is human nature, and it hasn't changed, and isn't going to change. Your billionaire owner is likely not going to spend more unless the CBA demands that he does.

@JeremiahOshan I guess I'm just curious if he's got a shot to start or if he's ahead of or behind guys like Rothrock and Georgi. Just thinking the depth chart on the wings is De La Vega and Morris starting and not sure if Rothrock is next or Arriola and what this means for Georgi getting time

The Paul Arriola trade has been completed. He reported to Longacres this weekend. My understanding is Sounders sent Dallas a first-round draft pick and $300k in conditional GAM. Don’t have any details on contracts at this time, but know there was some hangup with league.

Hey @4for4football little bug in lineup tool. I benched Jaylen Warren Wed. Now when I check what lineup you recommend, it says put Warren in. Which I can't, of course. But because of that, it's not giving any advice on my last spot. Once a game happens, guys should lock.

The problem is Santana facing RHP is an unacceptable lineup choice. He hasn't been even a league average hitter against RHP since 2019. I know people are sorta done with Will Brennan - Santana at DH vs RHP is a pretty big downgrade from Brennan.

@jeffMLBdraft DH or CI. They have Lowe and Jung but Jung can't stay healthy and there's room for another guy at one of those three spots. Josh Smith would be the other option but he's better as a part time/depth guy

I was not particularly high on the trade to acquire Horwitz. I love the trade to flip Horwitz. I'm not sure yet how I feel overall but this makes so much more sense

@ChiefManaea @James_Schiano He's an above average hitter by wRC+ for his career. 2024 was bad but if you're going to value him based on his worst season and the contract still looks fair (if he repeats that year every year for the next 5, he'll be worth more than he's paid) that's pretty good
