@ninja_maths Interesting, so for someone who had been living in fear of maths or hasn't done it properly, the MA curriculum especially for the maths will be helpful for levelling up?

Contrary to what many assume, mathematical strength or success is not about “having a math brain.” Instead, it's much more about building and nurturing an unusually solid hierarchy of mathematical knowledge over an extended period of time.

"When the time comes" so far BankNifty back at sept 2024 lvls after doing 1.5 years TP holding nifty.. games will go on, I have no biases but LT charts usually show where to stay away from.. over time all will play out & many cats will come out of bags..
🪔 🔸 VT 🔸 🪔@CzarVT

most people keep chasing / expecting big bump in banks (both private & psu) but the charts of BankNifty imho is the worst.. only thing is its got major weightage in Nifty so most ease of use to manipulate nifty so keeps whipping as they please.. but when time comes…keep ST track & if any BDs then dont remain in lala land dreaming..

Humans are part of the Catarrhini group (Old World monkeys & apes). Almost all Catarrhines have the exact same Dental Formula: 2 : 1 : 2 : 3. That is 2 incisors, 1 canine, 2 premolars, & 3 molars in each quadrant. 2+1+2+3 = 8, multiply by 4 quadrants, & we get 32. We did not evolve 32 teeth for ourselves; we inherited them from an ancestor 25 million yrs ago who had a much longer snout. We are currently trying to cram a long-snout blueprint into a flat-face skull.
World of Science@Science_TechTV

Have you ever wonder why you have 32 teeth??

Brutal truth: Most students today can solve equations but cannot explain why the rules work. That’s what happens when education teaches procedures instead of logic. 125 years ago one textbook solved this problem. Kiselev’s Arithmetic.

“I have a friend who is extremely talented. I went to school with him. The point is he never did anything with his talent. You know what’s important for an artist? It’s the will to do it, to see it through. You could work maybe a couple of days on a painting, a couple of months on a painting, it’s an ongoing process. It’s not the joy of living, believe me. Although you love doing it, you got to be a masochist to be a painter, to love it and stay with it. But I think that’s for anything to see something through and not give up. It’s easy to give up. But with painting, you can’t.” This excerpt is from a 91-year-old artist, Hilda O’Connell’s interview on Joshua Charow’s Youtube channel. One of the best things I have found on Youtube lately is Joshua’s channel where he interviews artists about their life and work.

Recently saw chart of person with Kanya lagna with 10L in 10H. You would expect him to have a good career, but he's running MD of Sani, who's 6L in 6H. Sani's malefic for Kanya because moolatrikona falls in 6H of enemies. Fortunately, Budha MD from 2029 should make life better.

What a phenomenal #book! The author goes into excruciating detail on how language could have evolved. The first half of the book is dedicated to how our folk intuitions about language evolution are wrong. Consider animal calls. They’re often just about here-and-now to communicate something very specific. Like a predator is around, or you’re available for mating and so on. No other species have the language capacity that we have because it’s very hard to go from here-and-now to abstract concepts. With words, however, we are able to communicate something abstract that isn’t tied to the here-and-now (like the concept of lion instead of any specific lion or the concept of flood). The author’s theory is that our hominid ancestors were scavengers, using simple stone tools to cut through the thick hide of big animals like elephants. To do this successfully, they needed to recruit other hominids so that their large numbers repel other scavengers like tigers, hyenas, etc. This recruitment need meant they started to pantomime/mimic what specific animal dead body they would have found (at a distance). From this desire to recruit, first proto words emerged that were distinct from animal calls because these referred to something that was displaced from immediate context, gradually kickstarting human ability to think about past and future via concepts (something animals lack). I learned so many things from this book. For example, ants also recruit their fellow ants in a very similar way to how our ancestors may have done. It’s just that our bigger brains really took first proto words to another level as we could co-operate and plan much better using language. The intriguing subtext in the book is that before language we couldn’t think of complicated thoughts and like other animals we were trapped forever in the here-and-now. Language gave us (abstract) concepts and gradually unlocked our cognitive abilities. I find this super fascinating given how language drives LLM intelligence. This is an amazing book, full of juice on our ancestors and new insights on evolution! Strongly, strongly recommend!

@real_deep_ml Got it, but without even the basics of ML we cannot think of figuring out what approach we will have to take the solve problem. This is where the tutorial hell spawns itself. I think it is best to get the overview quickly and then deep dive

In my mind learning the foundational principles is stage 2, like once you could build models with sklearn you should learn what they really do, the benefit of doing it this way is you see what machine learning is used for and if you really enjoy it and it makes learning the principle stuff more enjoyable because you know why you are learning it

Not sure who needs to hear this but stop overcomplicating the learning process, If you want to learn ML stop going on reddit or X or whatever looking up “how do I learn ML” to quote shai labeouf JUST DO IT, find an interesting problem (not mnist unless you really find classifying numbers super interesting) and build it get stuck do some research on why you are stuck and keep building (if you are using chat ask it not to give you code, chat is helpful but if it just writes the code for you you won’t learn anything, read the reasoning and try and type it your self) If you are spending hours coming up with the perfect learning path you are just kidding yourself, it is a lot easier to make a plan then to actually study/ learn (I did this for a while, I made a learning path and a few days in I was like no I need to add something else and spent hours and days making a learning path to run away from actually doing something hard) Ultimate guid to learn ML: 1.Find an interesting problem (to you) 2.Try and build it 3.Get stuck 4.Research why you are stuck 5.back to Step 2

Dear Govt, disclose the deal details now. Does it match President Trump’s version, or do you have a different one? Delaying clarity and later contradicting Trump will only reinforce fears that markets are being played by insiders.
