A few days ago, I saw a gofundme for a local business owner who died suddenly. He was still young and leaves behind a wife and several children. He had no health insurance, no life insurance and his wife had recently quit her job to get the fledgling business going. 1/

Célio Pompeu suffered a non-contact ACL injury in training last week and will be sidelined for an extended period. He will begin his treatment and rehabilitation process immediately with the full support of everyone at the club. We wish him a full and speedy recovery.

@stlCITYsc For the fourth season in a row we see a non contact training injury and I ask…what the actual fuck is our training staff and med staff doing?! Plan your sessions wisely and prevent these! They are not all inevitable!

#OnThisDay in 2015, I attended my first #USMNT match in person, a 6-1 win over 🇻🇨 at Busch Stadium. I was 24 years old. Now, I have been to 20 matches and counting. Hopefully I can add one more before the World Cup.

Around this time, TN had a 2-year window that we got obliterated with hail. 2011-2012. We got smashed as well, but because our new business volume was so strong, we still stayed profitable. Somewhere around a 75% LR. No profit sharing, but could have been worse.

Golf ick: when people putt with the toe up. Just watched Finau do it and pull a 2 footer. Level the club and hit through the middle of the ball. Toe up gives the ball a wobble, that is so easy to see.

At what point will you self insure? - Vehicle insurance up 30% YoY for many with no claims - General liability insurance up 10% - health insurance through the roof - home insurance keeping pace with the others At what point do you stop paying premiums and use that cash for minor claims and hope nothing catastrophic happens? You already know you won’t report minor stuff to insurance anyway because they will raise your rates even faster next year.. It’s getting close to making sense to not be insured.

Let kids be kids! They should be playing multiple sports for ~ 2 months at a time, until HS where they narrow focus. I still believe HS athletes should have extended off-seasons where they play different sports or participate in non-sport activities!
