BREAKING: An east London mosque, the Darul Arqam Mosque & Muslim Community Centre, has released footage of the damage to their property following a vandalism incident in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Paint was thrown across the exterior walls, doors, and windows of the mosque. The masjid is now working with police to find the vandals and establish the motive behind the attack. Mosques all across the UK are increasingly being targeted by similar acts of vandalism amid rising Islamophobia. In a statement, Darul Arqam Mosque said: “This is a deeply concerning incident, particularly as it involves a place of worship that serves the whole community. "We remain committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and peaceful environment for everyone. We kindly ask anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or has relevant information to come forward and assist. "We appreciate the continued support and unity of our community during this time.”

INDIA: Shops and vehicles belonging to Muslims were set ablaze by a Hindu mob in Gujarat’s Dhandhuka following a deadly clash, prompting authorities to deploy police forces to restore order. The violence reportedly stemmed from a road rage incident that escalated into a confrontation between members of the Muslim and Hindu communities, with both sides accusing each other of triggering the unrest. Police said the dispute began after a motorcycle accident quickly spiralled into an alleged assault on a Muslim youth, followed by a retaliatory clash outside his residence. During the violence, a man identified as Dharmesh Gamara was allegedly stabbed in the leg by Rizwan and later succumbed to his injuries. The incident has once again drawn attention to communal tensions in Gujarat, the site of the 2002 riots, when large-scale anti-Muslim violence occurred under the then chief minister, now Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

A metro police officer stopped a truck driver and found this fake foreign driver’s licence using a supermarket rewards card. ⚠️ What Is Really Happening After the “Reopening” of Masjid al-Aqsa? Thursday 9 April 2026 Less than 45 minutes after Fajr prayer had ended, as worshippers spread across the open areas of Masjid al-Aqsa, Israeli occupation police attacked them with batons, arrested two young men and a female mourabitah, and forcibly cleared the Masjid to make way for Israeli settler incursions. A total of 492 Israeli settlers desecrated Masjid al-Aqsa in successive groups over six and a half hours, gathering in the way they do during major religious occasions. Each group entered chanting, clapping, singing, and performing collective Talmudic rituals from the moment they entered until they exited. With the open areas emptied for them, their voices and rituals could be heard across the Qibli Musalla, the Dome of the Rock, and every part of Masjid al-Aqsa. Among what was witnessed was the blowing of the shofar horn inside Masjid al-Aqsa used here as a declaration of control along with acts of full prostration under the protection of occupation forces. Opening Masjid al-Aqsa in this manner does not remove the danger. It is not the goal, nor the end of the effort, nor something to celebrate prematurely. In reality, Masjid al-Aqsa is now facing one of the most dangerous phases since its occupation. We are all faced with an urgent responsibility to confront this reality without burying our heads in the sand, protect its Islamic identity, and remain committed to the cause of Masjid al-Aqsa until Allah permits its full liberation and beyond.
