I -finally- booked my flights & accommodation for Kubecon. Very grateful for the @CloudNativeFdn travel fund, without which I definitely wouldn't have been able to make it this time 💙✨

Does a kind of `View[A, B]` typeclass exist? Sometimes, you want to ensure that a type A is "viewable" as something ```scala def f[A: View[Order, _]](v: A) = { val order = View[Order, A].view(a) ... } ``` Am I reinventing the wheel? 🤔 Looks like structural typing

¡Truco o trato!

@levelsio As long as the application domain allows it ... imagine a banking application with that model. And as long as you keep working solo. Imagine tens of developers working in the same way ... and without type safety ....

What inspires us most about Dutch planning? They design for the future they want—with collective long-term investments that enable citizens to choose active, social, affordable, enjoyable and sustainable ways to move in and between cities. Shouldn’t that be the case everywhere?

Nadie gana.

The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility. Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it. #CityMakingMath HT @modacitylife

With 58% of all trips nationally made by bike, teenagers are among the biggest beneficiaries of Dutch infrastructure. From a young age, they enjoy the freedom of a driver’s license; without the added stress, cost and danger. The scene outside our son’s high school this morning.

In the Netherlands to reduce the # of kids drowning, a “swim ABC” program was rolled out from 1998. Kids learning to swim includes thrown into the water with clothes+shoes & getting out. At the C level they are rolled into the water in coat & boots, simulating disorientation.
