@ubitricity @Shell on what planet do you think it acceptable to charge 79p per unit of electricity between 4pm and 7pm? It's only a lamppost so the infrastructure was already there. Similar question goes to @char_gy who seem to think in excess of 60p per unit is acceptable 24/7

Completely agree with you, 64% of the UK public have it easy and could move to an EV today without much change to their lives. The other chunk of the public need Government to push for significant change to ensure you have a charge at your workplace, supermarket, gym, park etc etc. We’ve campaigned for public charging to have lower VAT rates to match homes but that has been ignored 🤦‍♂️ Buying any new car is very expensive, but buying a used electric car provides an excellent opportunity to save money compared with a comparable petrol car, and best of all it comes with lots of EV only features like one pedal driving, app phone support etc

Charging while you sleep has to be one of the great benefits of going EV. We're seeing more & more customers adjust their charging habits to take advantage of cheaper overnight rates.

Reading this week’s debate in the media about the lack of charging infrastructure, nobody reports that we already have 600,000 home charging connections and that 84% of EV drivers charge at home. Owners report to us that they use public chargers very occasionally. So why the hysteria….?

@jamcycles @Merton_Council Hi James. The charge points you're talking about are from Source London - another public charging provider. The ones in the picture below. We've installed 2 new charge points further up Elmwood Road. They are both mounted on to lampposts and don't take up any extra pavement space
