Parents should not be fined for taking their children out of school, who otherwise have good attendance, for a time-limited family break. I've written to all headteachers in my constituency today asking for them to apply some common sense. A very positive response so far.

@LBGplc why it is so difficult to open a current account for child? Branch refuses, says do online. Online keeps refusing saying they can’t verify ID. Am following the steps and using a passport - he’s a child so looks older than when issued! Already proved ID for child savings?
