If you guys want to see a real “eater” check out Todd Ault. This dude is the epitome of being an eater. He changes business models with what ever is hot in the season. Right now he’s running $GPUS. A hyperscaler. Before that it was a blockchain company. And then something that held physical silver because silver was running. And before that something else. Dude has been incinerating capital for decades. And then this entire video. What a set up. Todd Ault is not a billionaire. Or else he wouldn’t be shilling these shitco companies at no name loser conferences decade after decade. Look at the price chart of anything he owns. It’s all trash.

@Rxbremen Yes, I agree with you IEI has been in a hole for a while and the sector needs more drivers for value, but the increase in its equity should help them undertake more risk. IEI still has one of the lowest OS numbers in the sector even when you add the PO numbers.

They have been in turmoil since 2024, 2025 that was good for others was bad for them.
2026 is currently worse, if and when they are ready to get better, their share size is now super inflated and would only further crash their EPS lower.
The sector is not one of the great ones in Nigeria, the economy naturally doesn’t favor insurance, so if companies would perform in that sector it won’t be more than a few, and they have over 20 in the sector.

I believe coys going through turnarounds should be given benefit of doubt. There are surely no easy fixes. But I would expect their H2 to tell an entirely different story following the completion of their PO and huge cash positions as a result.

I will expect a chunk of these cash be converted to financial asset which will spike their investment return in H2 to cover on bottom line and this gives the company more underwriting capacity which should impact its core insurance revenue as well.

Honestly, this has always bothered me, and calling these "fees" is giving them way too much credit. It’s licensed robbery, plain and simple.
You’re paying a 2.2% penalty (N681,255 on N31 million) just to access your own money. For perspective, selling $20,000 worth of stock in the US on platforms like @Fidelity or @RobinhoodApp costs $0 in commissions and maybe $0.10 in regulatory fees.
Meanwhile, Nigerian brokerages hand you a basic app and charge 1980s Wall Street extortion rates. They add zero real value but still skim you dry with inflated commissions and hidden CSCS charges.
@SECNigeria, @fccpcnigeria, @NGXGroup, and @taiwoyedele need to look into this immediately. A regulator’s job is to protect investors from predatory practices, not sit quietly and enable price-fixing.
I’m also calling on @NGRSenate and @HouseNGR, especially the Chairmen of the Committees on Capital Market, to use their legislative oversight powers. If this exploitation continues, it will completely kill retail investor confidence and scare away everyday Nigerians who actually want to participate in this so-called "fast-growing" market.
Until these authorities step in and cap these absurd fees to match global standards, the NGX isn’t a capital market. It’s a legalized casino where the house is allowed to steal your chips.
