Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring. They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died. France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend

@Cernovich Do not lump Catholics with other Christians. Think this a problem when you think we all agree, we do not.

I do not know why "our side," which is supposedly so Christian, is shy about discussions of aliens and interdimensional beings. God is real but the supernatural isn't? That's a totally incoherent worldview.

@paxtrader777 Wonderful what you have. From readings of Thomas Aquinas, marital love is more than a fleeting feeling but virtious choice. And that means active committing through good and bad times. Willing the good of another, I believe it he called it.

I am putting together the script to officiate the wedding of one of my young cousins and read this. I sent it to one of my dearest friends and to my oldest daughter, I thought I would put it out here for you all. My God, I Hope You Find Love, -Anon My God, I hope you find love. And I don’t just mean that in regards to someone you wrap your tired bones around at night. I mean that I hope you find love in every aspect of your life. I hope you find it tucked into early morning sunrises, and the smell of your favourite places. I hope you find it strung between the laughter you share with your friends, I hope it bounces off of you when you hug the people you care for,  I hope it swells within your ribcage whenever you hear your favourite song, or discover something that moves you. I hope you fall in love with growth, and change, and the messiness and the beauty of fucking up, and making mistakes, and becoming exactly who you want to be. I hope you find love in places that were once void of it, in places within yourself that you could have been softer to, kinder to, in the past. Because if there is one thing I have learned, it is that love is so much more than a boy, or a girl, who holds your heart. Love is everything around you. It is everything.

10 years ago, I coached a phenomenal trader. He didn't talk about "value," "analysis," or his "market view." He only talked about Risk. He knew that risk is what kills you—usually because you refuse to look at it until the trade is already bleeding. It takes being "wounded" to truly grasp its enormity. Master the risk, master the game.

Looks like SPX hitting new highs. Hope traders are involved in this. If not, new oppurtunity will come up. For those of us that continue holding, congrats.

All aggregators had their payouts reduced to 60% this cycle. We will add another 20% deduction in the next cycle. It became abundantly clear: flooding the timeline with 100 stolen reposts and clickbait everyday crowded-out real creators and hurt new author growth. The next step is to assign a permanent deduction to habitual bait posters who use “🚨BREAKING”on every post. X will never infringe on speech or reach—but we will not compensate for manipulation of the program or our users.

On this day in 1865, Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant. Lee showed up dressed in his best, looking like a dignified gentleman. Grant was covered in mud after riding all morning. Before anything was signed, the two men spoke about their shared service in the Mexican War -- a reminder that Confederates and Union soldiers were nonetheless countrymen tied by mystic chords of memory. Grant did not create terms of surrender to humiliate the South. Grant and Lincoln understood that to unify the nation, you could not imprison half of it. Confederates were allowed to keep their sidearms and personal horses. When Grant learned that Lee's men were quite literally starving after having not eaten for days, he ordered 25,000 rations sent to them immediately. Lee said this would have "a very happy effect" on his men. When Lee rode away after signing terms of surrender, Union soldiers cheered. Grant forced them to stop, reminding Union soldiers that Confederates were "now our countrymen" and there would be no cheering over their downfall. (In fact, days later when actual ceremonial surrender occurred, Union Gen. Josh Chamberlain reportedly ordered his men to salute passing Confederates as a sign of respect) Lee also worked diligently to stop Confederates from waging guerrilla warfare, encouraging them to set their arms aside and return home and in peace. He was a titan in his own right. If the spirit of 1865 had been driven by the urge to shame and punish, the Union would not have lasted. So many people today misunderstand that and as such, they try to rewrite America history. God Bless America.

Dear Friends: Thank you so much for your support the past couple of days. The incredible outpouring of sympathy, prayers and offers to help have been completely overwhelming and amazingly gratifying. I feel blessed to know all of you. The demons on the other side of this affair knew exactly what they were doing. They sought to wreak havoc on my life, my family's lives and to destroy me. They failed. I will remain indomitable. However. I am burying my brother this week. As deeply appreciative as I am for your support, may I politely ask that you try to dial back this controversy for a few days, to the extent possible? (I know this may be impossible, that some lies must go answered, and please always defend yourselves against lies directed at you.) I know the demons will not listen, but I know my friends will. Thank you again. I will provide my usual fire again soon, but right now my family and I are in deep mourning and would be most appreciative if this social media world we created would allow me to focus on what's most important for just a few days--family. You will hear all of my unvarnished thoughts on this matter once I put my brother to rest. Love, CP

I am reading through Alexis De Tocqueville “Democracy in America”. I am starting to think his concerns at the time are playing out. Will not draw any conclusions now but wondering what others think.

Matthew 6:7-15 When you pray, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This is how you are to pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one. If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

To have monsters celebrate your death is not a bad thing. In fact it is a tribute. But to die and have no one either mourn or celebrate, to die and be forgotten, to have left no impact of any kind on the world, to have your existence add up to nothing in the end — that is the greatest horror. And it’s the fate of basically every leftist who gloated over Charlie, and gloats now over Scott. Gloat all you want, you pathetic nothings. We will not return the favor when you die, because we won’t know or care.

'False compassion is a pity shown not to the family of the murdered, but to the murderer' This is Fulton Sheen's most prophetic speech He goes off on the 'throat slashers' 'perverts' 'degenerates' who have made the decent man 'practically off the reservation'
