I am looking to interview people who have sought health care at crisis pregnancy centers, intentionally or unintentionally, and want to talk about their experience. If you or someone you know might be interested, please email or DM #pregnant #news #healthcare

At least 17 states have taken steps to ensure broader access to the COVID-19 vaccine since last month. The moves represent an extraordinary state rebellion against the public health authority of the federal government. From @chatlanis + @stateline_news stateline.org/2025/09/17/mor…

“I think it’s unfair. I understand that there are some people who abuse the system,” B. told Stateline. “There are also people who are in need. And cutting help for families like mine — not being able to get the help — it will be very difficult.”stateline.org/2025/08/21/mos…

Public Health Watch rarely covers breaking news, but its investigative reporting is often tied to the news — and sometimes foreshadows it. A case in point: the push to slash health coverage for the poor. publichealthwatch.org/2025/07/10/wev…

About 68% of Americans said they favored a Medicaid work requirement in a recent @KFF poll. That dropped to 35% when they learned most recipients already work and could lose coverage due to paperwork problems. @besables reports. ⤵️ kffhealthnews.org/news/article/m…

Mike Johnson would hate for you to know that nearly 40% of his district is on Medicaid. Or that 1.6 million Louisianans — about 35% of the state — rely on it. It would be terrible if this information went viral.

U.S. House passes Trump's tax bill, which mostly benefits the rich & cuts $1 trillion from Medicaid. Experts say the cuts will devastate rural places. Residents are worried, scared & angry. “They want to do stuff for the rich people that’s already rich.” publichealthwatch.org/2025/07/03/med…

When I was at @deltahealthcent in rural MS a month ago looking at health care in the rural south, I saw this article from the Boston Globe in the 1960s. *This* is how doctors and politicians framed health care then... Now close to 12 million could lose their Medicaid.
