@ShivrattanDhil1 To gain respect from the world, we, the Indians have to stay in our home country and be invested there. The shouting match is not going to make us win an argument

Call India a “hellhole” if you want but your healthcare says otherwise. ~47% of your generics prescriptions come from India. ~40% of your drug demand depends on it. You’ve saved $2.9 trillion in a decade because of it. ~Every 6th patient is treated by an Indian-origin doctor. Over 80,000 Indian-origin doctors treat your patients. Mock India all you want but your system leans on it! Idiot @realDonaldTrump

@RepBera Let me ask you this: why did your parents have to come to the U. S from India to build a “better” life?

As the son of immigrants from India, I take great pride in both my heritage and in the country that gave my family the opportunity to build a better life. My parents came to the United States legally in search of that opportunity. My mother spent 35 years working as a public school teacher. My father worked as an engineer. They instilled in my brothers and me a deep belief in hard work, public service, and giving back to the country that welcomed them. I am a product of that American story. I attended California’s public schools from kindergarten through medical school, became a doctor, and now have the privilege of serving our nation in Congress. That is what the American Dream looks like. The comments shared by President Trump are offensive, ignorant, and beneath the dignity of the office he holds. They reflect a fundamental misunderstanding of who we are as a nation. America has always been strengthened by generations of immigrants who come here, work hard, and contribute to our country. They do not weaken America — they strengthen it. America was built by people from all over the world who believed in its promise and worked tirelessly to make it better for the next generation. That’s the story of my family, and it’s the story of millions of families across our nation. President Trump, who was born into wealth and privilege, has never had to struggle the way so many immigrant families have. He does not understand the grit, sacrifice, and determination it takes to build a life from the ground up. He does not understand public service, and he does not understand the values that make America the greatest nation in the world. We are a nation of immigrants, and we are stronger because of it.

7.5 mile walk in the Florida heat. Protein and electrolyte water en route plus cottage cheese and Cuties with sea salt and freshly ground pepper… It’s hard to keep up with my fitness routine because I travel so much, but I’m on a 7 month streak! And it feels good!

I used to be a part time Uber/Lyft driver. Drivers are not allowed to be watching any type of video content while driving. Headphones are not allowed. You’re not allowed to be on the phone talking, unless you have to be making an emergency call if something is happening to your passenger or if your in danger

Total meltdown: Immigrant Lyft driver explodes on a passenger for conforting her for watching a TV show while driving. She then called the customer a “rich American white b*tch” and complained she only makes $50 after working all day. Lyft is reviewing it now. These are the immigrants we don't need in AMERICA

His name is Subramanyam Vedam. Everyone called him Subu. He was born in India. His family brought him to America when he was 9 months old. In 1982, he was 20 years old. A student in Pennsylvania. His friend Thomas Kinser was found dead. Police accused Subu. No murder weapon was ever found. The case rested entirely on circumstantial evidence. He was convicted and sentenced to life without parole. For 43 years, he sat in Huntingdon State Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania. He grew old inside. In 2022, the Pennsylvania Innocence Project found something buried in the District Attorney's files. An FBI report and handwritten notes showed that the bullet recovered from the victim was too small to have been fired from the weapon Subu allegedly used. This evidence had existed since the beginning. It was never shown to the defence. In September 2025, all murder charges were dropped. On October 3 2025, Subu walked out of prison. He was 64 years old. He had spent 43 years inside for a crime he did not commit. He became the longest serving wrongful exoneree in Pennsylvania history. Then ICE detained him. They had a deportation order from the 1980s. They wanted to send him to India. A country he had not seen since he was 9 months old. A country whose language he does not speak. A country where he knows no one. The system took 43 years of his life. Then tried to take his country too.

@drsunita02 Flexibility and sincerity cuts both ways. Parents want kids to come, sometimes kids need parent’s help also, early on. In my case, when they were much younger and then older, both parents refused to come and be with me permanently and yet the blame.

Children who are settled abroad, if they have no visa issues and if their finances are OK, it will be great if they can come and visit their elderly parents once in a couple of years, if not more....they need not come for months , perhaps a week is enough. Elderly parents won't often tell, but they miss their children, they pine for them... Just seeing them for a week to 10 days will give them the mental and emotional strength to go on for another 365 days. Physical connection >>> electronic connection. A child in Delhi may take the same time to visit his parents in Kanyakumari if travelling by train when compared to a child coming from USA. But for parents, a child in Delhi feels nearer. #ElderlyCare

@dr_ericberg some people say that weigh yourself every day but consider the lowest number of the week as your weight for that week. The reasoning is that the weight fluctuates due to water. Comparing the lowest week of the week to the lowest next week is your actual weight loss

Weighing yourself frequently can lead to stress over the number on the scale. This may increase cortisol and make weight loss more difficult. Instead, look for progress through reduced cravings for sugar and carbohydrates.
