This is actually what the future will look like. When wearable AR glasses saturate the market a whole generation will grow up only knowing reality through a mixed virtual/real spatial computing lens. It will be chaotic and stimulating. They will cherish their digital objects.

Yeah, I don't think theatres are going away. I do think $AMC made a massive mistake buying up other failing theatre chains. They overpaid and patrons per screen is suffering because of it. That said, I'm not a movie buff and am perfectly happy to watch pretty much everything at home on my 65-inch flat screen. I have no desire to drive to a theater to watch a movie.

@AFMBlog Another thing I personally like about movie theatres and restaurants; the element of human connection. Which, after covid has drastically changed due to the lockdowns. It takes time to realise humanity needs connection, going to church is the first step of connection.
