I've been working on a speech/presentation about what I learned: Working at Microsoft for over 20+ years, shipping 4 major gaming platforms and a decade in broadcasting. All wrapped in a bunch of amusing stories I was a part of along the way. It's not quite done...but close.

I am no longer at SteelSeries due to layoffs. Just cleaned out my desk. It was definitely my favorite job, I think it suited me really well. Will be hard to replace it. Not sure yet what I'll be doing, just taking some time for me right now. Cheers to all the connections I made

i am honestly baffled. are there seriously people who think the 1990 version is better looking? it's awful, an unpleasant mix of busy and frumpy. the 2024 version is clean and pleasant. not even a question that it's a huge improvment.

@MKBHD Honestly, I thought they just made-up 4K as having four 1080p displays stuck together - basically four 1K monitors = 4K. Didn't even look at the other specs.... TIL

You know what's bothering me for no reason? Up until 1080p, we referred to video resolutions by their VERTICAL RESOLUTION 426x240 = "240p" 854x480 = "480p" 1280x720 = "720p" 1920x1080 = "1080p" But then above that, we started using HORIZONTAL resolution, but rounded 7680x4230 = "8K" 3840x2160 = "4K" And then for everything in between, we just... threw that out? 2560x1440 = "2K" ????????? 2772x1272 = "1.5K" ????????
