If lion isn’t the biggest or fastest or smartest animal in the jungle, how does it still rule as King of the Jungle? #LionMentality We brought back the Lion Award and 2027 @maddijannuzi earned this one as her play completely changed the game😤 She also tried to reenact the pic from her last time winning it😂

Buckets and a Dub!! Game 1 First game with all of them playing together, so it wasn’t perfect. But with the right “team first” players on the bus, this group will only continue to get better from here📈 Btw 11 threes🔥 #ATTACK #GetBuckets #StrickHoopsFam #Recruiting #TheClash

@Coach__Strick I feel like he was hitting guys on purpose to add real intimidation into his arsenal. If that bean ball trend continues, I will also no longer discuss alternative GOATs. Adding fear onto confusion plus triple digits. Skenes, Ryan, Rocket. Old timers prob don’t agree!

Proud Dad. Joy to watch. Announcers referred to her as “feisty”. Opponents started face guarding her with their best players as soon as she crossed half court. Respect was EARNED by @abbijannuzi , ultimately I know she’s not satisfied and will work to be better next season!
Sean Strickland@Coach__Strick

A shout-out to @abbijannuzi as she completed her college Sophomore season🗣️ Finished 1 3-pt away from school record🏀 But I’m confident in saying that she WILL end up with BOTH season + career records before she’s done😎 Imagine telling your 9th grade self that, Abbi😉 #ATTACK

@Coach__Strick 3 year starter at power forward 99-02 at some AA school in the middle of nowhere, made a living in the paint by backing up the🛻 . Wishing her 75lb 4th grader could just listen to mom and box out. This kid will not have friends. GET OFF THE COURT!

The comments are trying to determine what this parent is doing here. I’ll share coaching perspective… GET OFF the court!! I don’t care what she’s trying to do, and this is 2nd video of her on the court during game…parents do not belong on the court🤬

Love this. Biggest give away are teams that peak in the first month of a season then fade down the stretch. Too many coaches skip fundamentals and think they’re better by running team plays all practice. Lose the fundamentals. Lifting should be the most fundamental, any sport.
Coach Jeff Barnes@JeffBarnes52

As an AD, I implemented a strength program where every athlete lifts in season with their current team. I challenged coaches to scientifically prove it was not beneficial. No one could. It eliminated the tug of war over athletes and reinforced what we believe.

Super Bowl halftime show updates watching with 4 daughters age 11-20. Quotes. “Why isn’t he singing in English. I only know one of this guys songs. Is ICE going to come get these guys. Why are guys twirking. Worst halftime ever. This should be illegal.” Good choice NFL! 🤡’s

You’re better at everything in life if you strength train. it’s a life hack. You’re better at being an athlete, you’re better at being an executive, you’re better at being a grandparent. Lower body fat higher muscle content, disciplined lifestyle. Done safely 0 downside.
Joe Aratari@JoeAratari

How do we get so many 7-8th graders to lifts? Because the sport coaches tell them to and show up! Remember coaches… It’s MY job to program and train your kids. It’s YOUR job to push them to workouts and show up as well. It’s a dual partnership!

@Coach__Strick I do like the 🏐 vibes. Very positive energy. Very quick games. Also no parents yelling at refs or coaching their kids from the stands. Probably because none of them understand the rules. But, for me personally, it’s not my cup of tea. 🏀 for me all day!

Watch 🏐 win or lose a point, they cheer + slap hands🖐️ In 🏀 a lot of coaches yell at every mistake players make🤦🏼‍♂️ Forget your plays in youth 🏀 Players find them no fun. Let them enjoy moving + playing. You can get to “serious” stuff later. Kids having fun = staying in sport
Sean Strickland@Coach__Strick

I can’t read behind paywall. But saw someone post low roster numbers is big reason. #1 complaint I’ve heard in last 10 yrs of coaching girls is school 🏀 is no fun. Go to 🏐 match. MUCH different vibe. 🏀 people could learn from 🏐 culture post-gazette.com/sports/high-sc…

@BobKocis Saw a similar message recently that cemented my thoughts on the subject. It was, systems and habits > goals and motivation.

The best salespeople I’ve ever led all share one trait. It’s not charisma. It’s not some “natural” gift. It’s consistency. They consistently show up. They consistently prepare. They consistently do the things most people only do when they feel like it. Consistency beats talent. It beats luck. It even beats the occasional hot streak. If you want to make President’s Club — or lead a team that gets there year after year — consistency is the real competitive advantage. #sales

@Coach__Strick You’ll famously remember the convo I had with a 6th grade coach who said. Your daughter is one of our 2 best offensive players, she’s great at man2man D, she just can’t get the job done in our zone D scheme, so we can’t get her quality PT. Maybe zone D is code for “agenda”?

@wpialsportsnews Highschool football coaches if they are coaching for the right reasons are easily top 5 most influential people in a players life, whole life. How do they get paid 10-20% of a non memorable math teacher salary. It’s not just a game, it’s molding character. TY Joe Hamilton!

When you have the administration and community pushing towards the same goal with emphasis on doing whats right for the student athlete you can do big things. Kudos to Woody 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🏈

Woodland Hills football coach Brian Tarrant is 20-9 in three seasons with the Wolverines including a 13-2 conference record. The school board tonight recognized his success with a two-year contract extension by unanimous vote.

@WallStreetApes I heard a quote from a Dr(who was insurance friendly) I was selling medical equip to that was designed to heal faster, less pain, and reduce the need for opioids. He said “a patient cured is a customer lost.” Med decisions based on insurance coverage is designed to trap not cure.

This is going to absolutely blow your mind Dr David Morris “You want to know why something isn't covered by insurance that you think might help you or your doctor thinks might help you? — I'm going to read you this, this is Medicare guidelines section 2251.3 I'm quoting this to you, ‘A treatment plan that seeks to prevent disease and enhance the quality of life or therapy that is performed to maintain or prevent deterioration of a chronic disease is deemed not medically necessary.’” READ THAT AGAIN This is the state of healthcare in the United States. Prevention isn’t profitable so it’s “deemed not medically necessary”

@WPIAL_Insider Kid will most likely go pro in something else like accounting or engineering. If you’re good enough to play football and get free enrollment at a highly rated private school, it’s a no brainer. It’s on the public school to be better at academics &sports to keep top kids home.

So the Southmoreland football program had TWO unbelievably talented HS QBs transfer in back to back offseasons. Do you side with the players or school district? The players want a better program, the school district wants its football team to succeed. Drop your thoughts below
