Depp was never found ‘guilty’ of anything, it was a civil trial. The UK case was JD Vs NGN and Dan Wooten when he sued AH directly in VA AH was found to have lied with malice, meaning the UK trial was a sham she LIED ABOUT IT ALL oh and the evidence proved AH was the abuser…

Judge said he wasn’t there to find anyone guilty, just to adjudicate whether Depp was ‘defamed’ on probability of what Heard said as witness in UK.

@Ty45459 @cheekymice @moonbeam_blue But they didn’t have to prove the allegations were absolutely true, only that they had enough reason to believe her allegations were true, ie. they did not intentionally lie. The standard of proof was not high enough to prove actual abuse.

@Ty45459 @moonbeam_blue No, it was based on what Heard told them. She didn’t have to ‘prove’ any of it as she was only a witness. Had she been part of the case she would have had to bring receipts. In the US trial she didn’t have any proof of abuse so she lost. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@cheekymice @moonbeam_blue That’s not how UK libel law works. NGN didn’t win by proving Amber Heard was their source or gave them enough justification. What they had to do was prove the substance of the allegation- that Depp did, in fact, abuse Heard. The defence was based on truth, not sourcing.

That sounds familiar. I’ve watched so many damn horror movies between Shudder and Tubi, it’s hard to keep track haha BUT…adding on to practical effects, I want to also recommend Dead Stream. It’s campy and dumb but it’s so super good especially since the main dude is the writer, director and possibly the editor. I can’t remember. It’s his first movie and the only other thing he’s ever been in was a High School Musical movie as a bass player lol
